Exodus 12:35-36 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they "borrowed" of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they "lent" unto them such things as they required. And they "spoiled" the Egyptians.
In Hebrew the words for Borrowed and Lent, mean the same then as now, and spoiled means pillaged or plundered, according to the Hebrew Lexicon.
It should be noted that legally, at the time the "Children of Israel" left Egypt, there was no Nation of Israel, nor was there any such thing as a "Jew" until the book of 2Kings, so the Egyptians today may have a complaint, but they do not have a Case, much the same as Blacks have no Case for reparations, or they would have gotten it already, of course as the justice system continues to get more perverted on a daily basis, anything could happen.
The Amplified Bible states slightly differently:
Ex 12:35-36
35) “The Israelites did according to the word of Moses; and they [urgently] asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver and of gold, and clothing.”
36) “The Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And, they stripped the Egyptians [of those things].
