Yes, I am fully aware that service members can travel in uniform. I always try to smile and thank them for their service.

My personal opinion is the neat solid color dark green pants and lighter green shirts of the local recruiters looked very professional but battle wear IS disturbing to see worn ,by true military or wannabees or posers,in ordinary civilian venues.

And police should wear distinctive “office dress” uniforms,NOT faux BDUs with ghosted insignia.

I also fondly remember when truck drivers wore ,if not matched work clothes, at least blue jeans and shirts, NOT flip-flops,loose shorts, and t-shirts with asinine slogans.

The standards of attire have changed and not for the better.Clothes may not make the man but they can sure say a lot about him.
