Late night comedian Bill Maher has controversially described Michael Brown a 'thug' that didn't deserve to be shot and rubbished claims he was a 'gentle giant'. Weighing in on the conflict in Ferguson, Missouri, he urged people on both sides to 'look at the facts'. 'I'm sorry, but Michael Brown's people say he is a gentle giant,' he told viewers of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night. 'Well, we saw that video of when he was in that 7-Eleven. No, he wasn't a gentle giant.

To that end I think I will choose not to attack an armed police officer and attempt to take his weapon.
That is controversial - of course he deserved to be shot.
And if Brown had been shot by another thug, few of us would have ever known about it.

It was obvious that Brown was "a thug" within days. It's now obvious -- based on the Grand Jury leaks -- that he did "deserve to be shot" (or at least -- I'm an old white guy, and I'd expect to be shot if I did what Brown did). Maher is weeks behind the news, and he is still an idiot.
More like 'racial favortism'..
But unrest in the St Louis city between the majority Caucasian police force and African American community shows no signs of dying down.
The 'African American' community was part of the city that elected white officials to oversee the police department. Black adults and white adults elected mostly white city officers.
The outbursts have been exacerbated by leaks from the grand jury.
When was the last time a reporter gave the floor to a bunch of white disgruntled men in their twenties... and allowed them to speak for 'the white community'?

Memo to those wanting emulate Michael Brown:
Don’t attack cops. It doesn’t end well for you.
It really shouldn’t be that difficult a concept to grasp.
Maher wanting to have it both ways. Maher: Brown was a thug, but he didn’t deserve to get shot. The truth: he was a thug who was destined to get himself shot and killed by someone.
Some people "need killing"; he was one of them.
