A spokesman for the Republican National Committee turned to Twitter Thursday evening to slam the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People for seemingly failing to congratulate Tim Scott and Mia Love on their historic midterm election wins Tuesday.

“Can we take a moment to understand how the @NAACP didn’t congratulate the first black person ever elected to both the House and Senate?” RNC deputy press secretary Raffi Williams tweeted, adding that the group is “failing the black community by only supporting Dems.”

can we take a moment to understand how the @NAACP didnt congratulate the first black person ever elected to both the House and Senate?

— Raffi Williams (@Raffiwilliams) November 6, 2014

Williams continued skewering the organization in several followup tweets, contending if the NAACP was “truly bipartisan” they “would support all blacks not just dem Blacks.”

.@NAACP is failing the black community by only supporting Dems

— Raffi Williams (@Raffiwilliams) November 6, 2014

it is unacceptable for an org that supposedly supports all blacks @NAACP to only acknowledge Dem blacks

— Raffi Williams (@Raffiwilliams) November 6, 2014

.@NAACP used to do great work for the black community. note USED

— Raffi Williams (@Raffiwilliams) November 6, 2014

If the @NAACP was a truly bipartisan org thay would support all blacks not just dem Blacks

— Raffi Williams (@Raffiwilliams) November 6, 2014

I wish an org like the @NAACP would support black ppl of ideologies. unfortunately they are proving how out of date they are

Tim Scott and Mia Love don’t count cuz they’re Uncle Toms and Tinas.

Apparently, you’re an authentic black only on the liberal plantation.

Aren’t they due for another name change?

It isn't, so it doesn't.

Kudos to Raffi Williams for forcing the truth forward.

Yes, Negro is politically correct again according to the US Army.

So we’re due for a change.

A couple of colored people just advanced. If the NAACP can’t congratulate these two fine people, then it’s time to close down and fade away.

Uncle Toms and Tinas.

"Tinas"? I have always heard the term "Aunt Jemimas". You learn something new on FR everyday!

That’s interesting. Tim Scott is the first black person to be elected to the House and the Senate. Congratulations, Tim!

So, out of all the members of the House Black Caucus, none of them have ever moved up to the Senate?

How long has the Black Caucus been around?

According to Eric Holder and his disparate impact theory, the Democrats are a bunch of racists.

It has long been obvious that NAACP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party.

I think Jesse Jackson tried to push “Afro American” in the 70s or 80s, but it didn’t really catch on. Some news people used it for about a minute.

Regardless, Congrats to all newly elected conservatives. May you have a positive impact on the governance of this nation.
