The Proud Provocateurs at the Center of Today’s Paris Terror Attack (Blaming the victims, again)

Charlie Hebdo, the French publication that was the victim of a horrific terrorist attack Wednesday, is no stranger to courting controversy and even danger with its no-holds-barred satire.

Formerly known as Hara-Kiri, the paper first gained national notoriety in 1970 with a headline mocking the death of former President Charles de Gaulle—“Tragic dance at Colombey [de Gaulle’s home] - one dead”—that led to it being shut down by the government. Undeterred, the paper quickly reconstituted under its current name and has been taking shots at sacred cows ever since.

In the last decade or so, Hebdo has been needling the delicate sensibilities of Islamic extremists, with often tragic consequences. In 2006 it reprinted the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad that had been originally published in a Danish newspaper several months earlier and had provoked rioting and attacks on Danish and European facilities throughout the Muslim world. The paper’s editors were charged with inciting racial hatred, which is illegal in France, but eventually acquitted....

Isn’t France a no gun Country. Police just didn’t save anything but for just on CC person in the area might have save a few. Guess the police that got killed on the sidewalk had no weapon.

Can someone explain to all liberals that it’s wrong to kill people with guns just because they disagree with you about religion? I’m not kidding.

And the despicable anti-European organization SOS Racisme was behind that.

Oddly they are completely silent about the scum they have been fronting for.

SOS Racisme interprets merely being Islamic as a "race", equating religion with ethnicity. And like the SPLC on steroids they go after anyone who speaks out about the occupation, and the French state follows right along with criminal prosection.

Except if it's Muslims doing the talking. Or shooting.

It seems the stupidity on the left follows a sort of trickle down pattern.

It’s what Liberals do ... blame the victim.

So jihadists are not intellectually capable of moral accountability?

I’d say that’s the real racism here.

You’re asking them to change a core value. Don’t think it’ll happen.

Actually it’s a mental defect for liberals to think it’s okay when jihadists commit mass murder with firearms.

Charlie Hebdo?

Il se trouve dans la tradition de la satire surréaliste en France.

Tout son travail est gaspillé sur ses adversaires.

Tout le massacre terroriste brutale de son personnel a veillé à ce que son esprit ne mourra jamais.

Vive Charlie Hebdo!

"Headline: MAD magazine provokes attack. “They had it coming say liberals...”"

No Mad magazine is too soft and toothless PC nowadays.

Hell, they've censored their OWN past works in reprints.

I'd be curious for what an "equivalent" American satire magazine for Charlie Hebdo would be.
