Egyptian President al-Sisi Calls for an Islamic Reformation
Breitbart ^ | 1/9/2015 | John Hayward

It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire Islamic world to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!

That thinking – I am not saying “religion” but “thinking” – that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the centuries, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world. It’s antagonizing the entire world!

I heard about this on Mark Levin's program 4 or 5 days ago. It's good to see the rest of the media finally picking up on this.

Al-Sisi also visited Cairo’s Abbasiya Cathedral Tuesday to attend the Coptic Christmas Mass

ISIS is moslem.

Al Sisi is not.

His days are numbered.

Think Anwar Sadat.

That’s a good development. It took courage. Unfortunately, it will take a lot more than that to convert the mass of savagery to anything resembling civilized behavior.

Unfortunately, he might just wind up as Anwar. I wish him well.

That's what makes him so courageous, unlike our Commie-in-Chief.

Yes, but this was no small thing. He was addressing a gathering of imams at Islam's most famous center of theology.

http://www.thecairopost.com/news/132144/news/al-azhar-responds-to-sisis-call-for-religious-revolution

From the above article:

“On Dec. 26, 2014 Dar al-Ifta launched an international campaign to introduce the “mercy” of the character of Prophet Mohamed. On Dec. 3, Egypt hosted an inter-faith conference to fight extremism. The conference was attended by 700 Islamic and Christian scholars from 120 states. It has also issued several publications refuting the Islamic State (IS) group’s ideology, especially in terms of the treatment of women and slavery.”

This is good news. Pope Benedict called for this type of dialogue in his Regensburg Address where he was vilified by Muslim leaders.
