A drunken, murderous pedophile concocts the most laughable religion until the creation of scientology and his first rule is no pictures, no jokes, no questions and no take-backs.

Got it.

“The person who is truly good and godly will also sport a well-tuned BS-detector and the courage to let it rip in the face of such inequities and absurdities; just like Christ did.”

Amen I say.

Doug, if you’re going to use non-English terms, use them correctly. “To schlepp” means “to haul or carry, especially a heavy burden.”

What did MAD magazine ever do to anyone to deserve to be put in the same story as this Charlie Hebdo thing? I mean come on. If there is anything like this Charlie crap in the US it isn’t well known. So everyone picks MAD magazine for comparison?

Schlepp has more than one meaning, for example, when fields of grain were often harvested by hand the farmers would “schlepp the fields” by dragging a very wide wooden rake across to gather the residue missed in the initial harvest. This was often done by two, or more people. Other meanings include a manner of walking ie. low energy, clumsy, dragging one’s feet, etc.

Wow. I guess MAD themselves are into it. So OK. I guess I just didn’t think the subject matter was at all like MAD beyond using cartoons.

I was born in 1958 and my BS detector started pinging in about 1968. It has never stopped.
