Schlepp has more than one meaning, for example, when fields of grain were often harvested by hand the farmers would “schlepp the fields” by dragging a very wide wooden rake across to gather the residue missed in the initial harvest. This was often done by two, or more people. Other meanings include a manner of walking ie. low energy, clumsy, dragging one’s feet, etc.
