such distances in the cosmic sense also would take many generations to traverse

So send a Generation Ship. A self-sustaining artificial moonlet with humans on board to spread our seed across the stars.

I like the earth sized designation a lot better than the “earthlike” crap.

A light year is about 5.8 Trillion miles.
The moon is 1.5 light seconds from earth (240,000 miles).
The sun is 8.3 light minutes from earth (93,000,000 miles).
The nearest star (other than our sun) to earth is “Proxima Centauri”,
and it is abut 4.2 light years away (25,000,000,000,000 miles).
The record for fastest manned spaceflight is 25,000 mph.

Warp drive has been shown mathematically possible. Now we just need to build the engine. Then we could get there in few weeks.

EPIC 201367075 is a dwarf star. The orbital period for these planets are 10-45 days. I’m guessing they’re tidally locked to their star. Has Kepler found any planets yet that aren’t tidally locked? I don’t hold out much hope for tidally locked planets to be habitable but it seems these are the only planets we can find with current technology.

What???? A guy outside the subway station sold me a great lot with an ocean view a couple of days ago. Got a fantastic price on it. Used to be a winter home for the Nigerian Oil Minister.
