Once the Obama regime is removed , before 2016 , the US should openly state that if Iran , or any other state , were to launch an ICBM in our direction , we will shoot down the missile/ missiles and our response will be to place an overlapping pattern of our own ICBM on their country , leaving not so much as a meter not covered .

MAD worked against the Soviets because they were basically sane - by or standards. The goat humping cult over there is not. They are ready and willing to die a glorious death in the name of their ... whatever. If we want to remain reasonably safe we have to be able to shoot down anything they may launch at us. Deterrence won’t work.
