Rauner's order isn't animated by empathy or some fastidious concern with constitutional fine points. It's animated by a desire to put public employee unions into a death spiral, which will ultimately shrink the state's payroll.Rauner won't live out his term if he looks like he will succeed at this union shrinkage.
If anyone thinks that the up roar in Wisconsin was bad, that was playground stuff compared to the "Chicago way".

He is probably the best we could have hoped for from Illinois - RINO or not - so let’s be happy to get this. No Democrat would do this. It’s a great first step toward curbing the union thugs.
