The widow of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) is preparing for the upcoming opening of the institute named after her late husband.

Vicki Kennedy invited “Fox News Sunday” to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston days before President Obama visits to formally open it to the public.

“He loved public service,” Vicki Kennedy said. “He believed in making a difference. And he wanted to inspire new generations to feel the same way.”

I think it was murder not an accident. First off that was a chauffeur driven car and he demanded the keys from the chauffeur. Why? And Mary-Jo left her purse and keys behind at the party. Why again? Was she forced into the car? Then when the car went into the canal, he gets out but she can't? He got out because he wasn't in the car when it went into the water. He jumped out before it did. Plus the car was in shallow water and he doesn't report it for 9 hours? Why? He knows damn well the cops would have protected him if he was drunk. No, he wanted to make sure she was dead. And she didn't die from drowning, she died from suffocation, they said taking her 3 to 4 hours for her air pocket to run out of air. Imagine sitting there for 3 or 4 hours while he's standing around. Kennedy then had the medical examiner change it to "accidental drowning" rather than suffocation. It was all a scam. I think he locked her in the back seat of the car, could have smacked her around as there was blood on her blouse, then he drove it to the edge and jumped out, the car was going slow because old Teddy didn't want to hurt himself when he jumped out which is why the car was right by the bridge. He killed her deliberately, and of course the Democraps later on ran him for President.

Sr. was just taking advantage of political connections to get something that would have otherwise gone to someone else (during Prohibition, that money was building organized crime). He used that cash to make his family rich. It’s amusing that his friendship with Bernard Baruch is mentioned in that article, since Sr was not far behind Henry Ford in his anti-Semitism, and basically blamed the Jews not only for the war itself, but for US involvement in the war. That’s attitude was the big reason Sr’s relationship with Churchill was “acrimonious”.

Having read this something just occurred to me that never occurred to me before.Massachusetts, like some states and unlike others,is an "open records" state...meaning that, with a few small exceptions (childhood adoption being one) *anyone* can get the birth, death, marriage and divorce certificate of *anyone*..whereas in a closed records state one must be the person in question or a close relative of the person whose record you seek.

I've decided to go down to the Vital Records office in Boston and see if I can get a copy of Mary Jo's death certificate.I'll bet that it's been sealed (thanks to you-know-who) and,if it isn't,I'll bet that it's been heavily redacted/falsified (also thanks to you-know-who).

The posts in this thread remind me of the annual Sweetwater Snake Roundup. Except in the Kennedy family there're more snakes.

I guess we can file the 1965 Immigration Act under the “traitor” category.

Not to mention "fratricide". I once came an article that said that Sirhan Sirhan would not have been able to get into the US save for the Teddy's "achievement".

“He loved public service,” Vicki Kennedy said. “He believed in making a difference. And he wanted to inspire new generations to feel the same way.”

All the weasel words I hate so much.
Public service - NO
Making a difference - just another liberal quotation - the only REAL difference you can make is in yourself
Inspire new generations to feel the same way - can’t even think of anything bad enough.

Oh wow awesome! Tell me how it goes, I think this whole thing needs to be exposed for the scam it was, just like this Michael Skakel deal. I cannot stand the Kennedys and this constant shield placed over them. Ted Kennedy was a murderer and for the rest of his life he had his arse kissed, then when he died they treated him as some kind of national hero, even buried him at Arlington. Unreal.

I thought the way he fought to keep the windmills away from his view at Hyannis Port was a typical example of his and his family’s unselfishness, honesty, dedication and farsightedness.
Perhaps the power company could put up windmill at Chappaquiddick Island in honor of Mary Jo Kopechne and Obama’s CAP & TRADE CRUSADE.

Excellent.

By the way, you all shouldn't be too critical of the Captain of the SS Oldsmobile for taking 9 hours to report the accident ... have any of you tried to dress a nude woman under water?

As a single senator, Ted Kennedy did far more damage to this nation than many presidents.

He did more lasting damage to the Republic than the Third Reich and the Empire of Japan combined did in WWII.

I have never understood, and may never understand, why there is such deification of the Kennedy family.”

Simply because the Patriarch, Joe Kennedy was best friends and financial supporter of Adolf Hitler.

I once came an article that said that Sirhan Sirhan would not have been able to get into the US

In 1965, an Arab walking the streets of any U.S. city was almost astonishing. It was like seeing a space alien.

There would not be any animosity though. The resurgence of Islam and Jihad in the Middle East was not known by us then.

Now it's a commonplace, and we are all afraid to say what's true: a rather significant fraction of them are here to kill us.

And garbage like The Swimmer would castigate you for saying that.
