Turkey's President Reccep Erdogan has been moving closer to other Muslim dominated nations in the Near East. He has established a policy of 'Islam only', that there is no religion called 'Sunni' or 'Shia'. He is moving towards creating a closer working relationship with the '-stans', which are all ethnically Turks, and with Muslim enclaves in Eastern Europe.

It was disbanded as a organization after 1979 upon the overthrow of the Shah in Iran

Yep, you read Shoebat so you know Turkey is building a Caliphate. And they learned that allying with Germans and Western Europe got the Ottomans beat.
