Things were going swimmingly, that is, until Donald Trump became mildly critical of Marco Rubio at which point, Rubio loyalist Mark Levin suddenly [air quote] hit a hard break [air quote]
Levin: I have to tell you something the callers, theyre very excited about your campaign.
On Free Trade
Levin: I agree with you, actually.
(SNIP)
But then Trump crossed the line by mildly criticizing Marco Rubio
Trump: Rubio, weak on immigration very weak on immigration, although he tried to come back. But, you know, uh, we know where he stands. Hes very, very weak. You know, he did the immigration thing, and then all of a sudden his poll numbers plummeted, and all of a sudden he became a little bit of a hawk on immigration
:Mark Levin frantically tells producer to hit the music:
Levin: Donald! Donald! Donald! I really apologize. Ive got this hard break.
It’s proper FR manners to ping Freepers when you slur them.
You must not EVER listen to Mark Levin!!!!
Thanks.
Thanks for the dose of reality....to this misleading headline.
I was listening to Levin last night and heard exactly what you described: Top of the hour, hard break, standard operating procedure for Levin and every other radio host to cut off the interview, caller, whomever. This is much to do about nothing except, in the minds of low information partisans and voters.
Listening to Levin talk about Rubio, it is clear that he personally likes the man. Your "voice experts" confirm this.
However, at the same time, Levin is not a fan of Rubio's amnesty streak and is decidedly reserved concerning his candidacy.
This is a difference with a distinction. Under no circumstances should Levin be identified as a shill for Rubio.
Indeed it’s a TROLL POST.
It’s only purpose is to get false headlines adn designed to hurt Trump.
That is why it sounded abrupt; Levin let him talk a bit too long, since he was late and Trump had an approaching engagement.
So who is really behind this fake news.
My bet is that it’s not Marco Rubio campaign, but his Florida nemesis, Jeb Bush campaign, trying to get people mad at Rubio. They are on the attack.
Just a guess.
Nope, Levin has at times said, "No more Bushes". He's also called Jeb, "The dumbest Bush" several times. He has been very outspoken and critical of the failure to enforce immigration law and of all the amnesty pimps, of whom Jeb is probably the prime example.
Hey NOOB....me thinks you are trolling
This is how it happened. Nothing to do with Rubio
Thank you
He is. The trolls are here to create confusion and make a mess of the primary.
Same with Rush. There’s something about Rubio that makes their hearts flutter.
The source website is just looking to increase traffic.
Some good stuff there, but this article is just pure BS.
Yeah this is a total troll thread. I listened to the whole interview, he really did have to cut to commercial. He wasn’t cutting Trump off at all.
Instead of discussing what Trump had to say, this post has become a soap opera about whether or not Levin supports Jeb. Does ANYBODY have something substansive to say about what Trump had to say in the interview?
Substantive?
Trump is tapping into a new era of American National Populism. It has nothing to do with reason, though he is right in darn near all his expressed positions.
It's HOW he is saying it.
The Reagan Democrats will be out in force for Trump.
I really don’t get why Rush and Levin gloss over Rubio’s scheming with Schumer against the citizens. He’s soiled himself permantly in my eyes. They seem to be just as adamantly opposed to amnesty as I am, but still consider Rubio a viable candidate. Why?
