I was listening to Levin last night and heard exactly what you described: Top of the hour, hard break, standard operating procedure for Levin and every other radio host to cut off the interview, caller, whomever. This is much to do about nothing except, in the minds of low information partisans and voters.

I definitely agree. Hyperactive Trolls are popping up all over Free Republic and other conservative sites stirring up conflict. Either they’ve received their orders or the mental institutions have had a mass release.

So do I listen to Levin every day..

and I remember it exactly as you described. Levin barely got in his apology before the hard break occurred. Any listener to talk radio should be familiar with hard breaks.

Under the circumstances of Trump's schedule it made much sense to me that

• Levin did not ask him to stick around for the start of the next hour --
• or even for the minute or so left in the hour after the hard break and before the top-of-the-hour break.

I will add only that

• Trump was expected earlier but
• his plane was late getting into Iowa
• and had a scheduled rally to attend.

I do not recall exactly but I think it was little more that ten minutes left in the hour when Trump called in. It was a short and rushed interview. Again nothing unusual.
