I believe this is just a whimsical diversion for him where he may get enough votes to qualify for Federal funding that will allow him to poke a stick in the political cage at the zoo. As an accomplished businessman, I’d imagine he knows all sorts of ways to piss away campaign money legally.
Trump being Trump, the merchandising of campaign gear is going to be excellent, I’d think.
