This makes me think of my BIL, a heroin addict and Baptist who was horrified that I, who had custody and had been providing support of his son for 5-years, was getting the boy educated in a RC Parochial school. He kept saying that Catholics were “rotten”.
If you tried to discuss the subject with him, he would shout that we were insulting to him, and stalk off.
For those not in the know, heroin addicts have one god - and that is heroin.
He didn’t say a thing about Mexicans. He just talked about Mexican government policy of sending their troubled people to the north.
