1. I’m familiar with the methods required to successfully combat the GOP
2. The GOP often wants us, the liberals, to like them.
3. This other thing is new and scary —it’s winning the support of entities that traditionally support US.
4. Defeating this new, scary thing requires new strategy, and that makes me uncomfortable.

IF he wants to be accurate, conservatives in general do not like the Republican party because they are just a hair to the right of DemocRats when they should be over there with Reagan.
