The Ohio governor is surging in New Hampshire, and the Bush world is showing signs its nervous.
Theres a fresh face in New Hampshire and his name is John Kasich.
The Ohio governor is no political newbie, having first made his way into national politics in the early 1980s as a freshman congressman, but he was a late entrant to the 2016 Republican race with limited name recognition and plenty of ground to make up against Jeb Bush, whose establishment lane Kasich has been trying to horn in on.
Kasichs campaign manager John Weaver told POLITICO he received two calls from New Hampshire journalists who claimed they had received opposition research from the Bush camp, though Bush aides rejected the suggestion, saying theyre not shopping any anti-Kasich material.
To some New Hampshire Republicans, Kasich represents the antidote to qualms about Bush. Its no accident that in its first ad last month, Kasichs super PAC, New Day for America, emphasized his fathers work as a local mailman a stark contrast to Bushs silver-spoon upbringing as the son of a president. That 60-second spot, which featured a straight-to-camera testimonial from Kasich, has largely been lauded by New Hampshire political operatives as a smart introduction, displaying the notoriously hot-headed Kasichs comforting side, but also touting his experience as an influential Congressman and governor.

Perhaps more like Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dumber
Same old Milquetoast Republican.
giving him a run for the squishy amorphous blob vote
Jeb: "My Chamber of Commerce illegal alien loving, crony capitalists will ante up $25 million!"
Kasich: "My Chamber of Commerce illegal alien loving, crony capitalists will match that and raise another $5 million!"
If the Ruling Class hasn’t given up on Jeb, they’re sure doing a good impression of a Combine that has - just count up all the stories touting Kasich that have popped up in the last week, and the sources (Politico, NYT, etc) they’re coming from.
Two Rino’s battling it out for last position!
No, actually it’s the GOPe seeing the writing on the wall for Jeb and brought Kasich in as the backup plan.
Get real.
Kasich is Democrat lite.
Precisely, that’s why the GOPe likes him.
He’s Jeb without the baggage of the Bush name.
Not to mention FOX pushing iCarly harder than they’ve backed anyone since Romney. Starting from when they unanimously declared she won the pre-debate. I haven’t seen any channel pimp a product this much since the Home Shopping Network.
When Rinos Rumble
new reality TV
Policy-wise, Kasich is WORSE than Bush which is hard to do.
Carly Fio-RINO is the new Designated Loser to replace Jeb.
I don’t think they care who it is, as long as its not Trump. They would prefer Jeb because of money already spent. But anybody but Trump, that’s a guarantee. Even Cruz.
I think whether its Carly, Rubio, or Kasich, they want a media spin that is believable on who will “presumably” poach Trump’s support the next time they try to destroy him. They’ll say, well after this latest Trump meltdown, Carly (or fill in the blank) is the big winner, picking up the majority of his former supporters.
They know they can only defeat Trump with lies. And the lies will need some props.
Yes, I believe the press is that coordinated with the establishment.
When Little Jebbie fails John Boy will be called on to step in. If John Boy bombs look for the next call to go to the Rube. If the Rube goes down the pickings get slim for the establishment leftist wing of the all important Party.
I assume you do not understand what I’ve been implying: Kasich wins Ohio; others like him win in other states (Pataki doesn’t stand a chance in NY state).
At the convention they all give their elective votes to Jeb Bush, and the GOPe believes they have the candidacy sewed up for themselves. But maybe not.
That’s why the following is so important: Donald’s 20.
I suggest you read it. Here’s the link.
