Glenn Beck calls Donald Trump a false conservative
Iranian Press TV ^ | August 23, 2015

Conservative American talk show host Glenn Beck has slammed frontrunner Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying he is a false conservative.

Beck, a former member of the Republican Party, said in an interview on Saturday, “I haven’t heard him talk about the Constitution or small government.”

“It’s hard to say you espouse conservative principles and small-government principles when you are saying that you think [the] Canadian health care system works and is wonderful,” he added.

“I look for a man of integrity, humility, who is rooted in the Constitution,” Beck stated, “because if you root yourself in the Constitution, we can’t go too far left or too far right.”

Trump has maintained a lead among GOP presidential contenders in national polling since he announced his candidacy in mid-July.

A Rasmussen poll released Friday found that a majority of Republican voters (57 percent) believe Trump will be their party’s nominee for president in 2016. Among all likely voters, 49 percent believe Trump is likely to win the GOP nomination, up from 23 percent two months ago.

“He is not a politician,” Beck declared. “He is saying the populist things right now.”

“I think what’s happening with Bernie Sanders with the left is the same thing that’s happening with Donald Trump,” he opined, referring to the independent presidential candidate seeking Democratic nomination.

“They want somebody to say it the way they think it – especially if they say it in a non-politically correct way,” the former Fox News pundit asserted.

Earlier this year, Beck announced to quit the Republican Party, saying he has become disillusioned with the Republicans in recent years over their failure to stand up to the Obama administration over a number of issues.

“All this stuff that they said and they ran and they said they were doing all of these great things and they were going to stand against ObamaCare and illegal immigration — they set us up,” Beck stated.

He accused the Republicans of “torpedoing the Constitution” and said that “they’re doing it knowingly.”

The founder of the Blaze said that he decided to leave the Republican Party because of its resistance to change.

As many as 17 Republicans are seeking their party’s nomination for president but only Trump, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are considered serious contenders.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is competing against only three Democrats and Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party's nomination. Only Sanders is considered at all competitive in the early primaries.

Have you noticed Beck does not talk about the issues Trump has
brought up such as immigration?

He only says Trump is not a conservative.

I don’t really care about Beck.

Why do Trump fans always make it all about the messenger, rather than the facts?

It is clearly and objectively TRUE that Trump had espoused mainly Left Wing views for most of his life.

It is not like Beck or any other Trump critics are asking us to believe them about some secret conversation they allegedly had with Trump. They are citing Trump’s well documented public record of Liberalism.

Joseph Smith might've promised Beck his own planet but that ain't this planet.

Isn’t it fascinating how all of the Mormon revelations collected by Joseph Smith arrived in Early Modern English instead of the everyday American English of the 1830s? Why would the Angel Moroni or the stone spectacles Joseph Smith used result in English of 1611 instead of American English as spoken 1830?

I mean the King James Bible sounds the way that it does because the translators spoke Early Modern English in their daily life. There’s nothing magical about the language of the King James Bible after all- it’s just what English sounded like when they were doing their work. And it’s not what American English sounded like when Joseph Smith was alive. Read Edgar Allen Poe or James Fennimore Cooper you’ll see that 1830s American English sounds like what we use today except for our slang.

You almost would think that the Mormon writings were designed specifically to impress people by sounding like the KJV instead of being the revelation and translation that they purport to be.

Beck is acting like a raving leftist. Personal attacks. Attacking Trump’s wife. I get his message, ‘take down Trump anyway you can’

I am less of a fan of the GOP “leadership”
If you haven’t noticed they haven’t won in a LONG time? They are pushing pro-illegal Bush this time around.
You know like they pushed that ‘can’t lose’ candidate Romney (forefather of ObamaCare?)

I get Trump is not a purist. He is not a politician with a proven track record of failure like nearly everyone else that is running either.
Did any of them stop the illegal invasion the last 30 years? Did any of them take on Boehner or McConnell? Call out the establishment? What did they do??? Talk talk talk.

If Cruz can’t beat Trump then how is he going to beat Hillary?

Otherwise, don’t vote for Trump?

“If Beck were as rabid for the U.S. Constitution, as he states, why has he NOT been screaming about the anchor baby problem, for as long as he has had a voice?”

He was too busy handing out teddy bears to them as they jumped the border.

Of course, would a good mormon NOT support one of their own running for President?

Even the BAD ones did!

I don’t know if Beck admitted supporting Romney was a mistake.

We've got a LOT of Freepers that have vilified us CHRISTIANS for not supporting a MORMON for POTUS.

Well...

... the English Revised Version of 1881-1885 hadn't come into existence yet.

What ELSE would a fella plagiarize?

There certainly was some sort of dilemma for Moroni and the Stone Spectacles.

Even with their help when Joseph Smith was translating what he called Reformed Egyptian it just wouldn’t come out in 1830s American vernacular.

Instead, every time, the writing came out sounding just like Joseph Smith had grown up in the England of the late 1500s and was translating directly from the Greek Textus Receptus assembled by Erasmus of Rotterdam.

Go figure. The coincidence must prove the divine provenance of the Mormon scriptures. Or not.

Beck?

Isn’t he that drug-addled baby-killing packerphile, who wants smaller government (Libertarian) that wears magic underwear and wants to have several wives and rule his own planet someday (Mormon)?

He’s calling Trump a “false conservative”?

I am a Christian who did NOT support Romney in the primary because he was a fake Conservative. I oppose Trump for the same reason.

The "Caractors" are the only tangible evidence in existence related to Smith's story.
No gold plates, no brass plates, no peep stones, no Urim and Thummim...
only these "Caractors," not a single one of which is in the purported languages.

Smith's translation of the Caractors. According to Martin Harris (Joseph Smith - History, 1:64), "I went to the city of New York, and presented the characters which had been translated, with the translation thereof, to Professor Charles Anthon, a gentleman celebrated for his literary attainments. Professor Anthon stated that the translation was correct, more so than any he had before seen translated from the Egyptian. I then showed him those which were not yet translated,* and he said they were Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic; and he said they were true characters."

Speak right up now in all truthfulness. Isn't it revealing how Smith started out making a stab at creating believable "caractors" but quckly gave up and produced nothing but squiggles, ending up wih a series of nothing more than crude little scribbles? Yet Professor Anthon supposedly translated them!

*Harris must have had two or three pieces of paper with him—one with characters and a translation of them (on the same paper or a separate one) and one with untranslated characters—quite likely the "Caractors." Some Mormon "scholars" have gone out on a limb, sawed it off, and knocked themselves out trying to translate from these true Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic characters a segment that would correspond with a verse from 1 Nephi.

Modern-day experts in Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic. In 1829, any knowledge of these languages possessed by U.S. scholars would have been rudimentary at best. Expertise in them has vastly improved since then. So go ahead, do it. Get any modern expert in these languages to identify which of these "Caractors" are Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac and Arabic. Better still, accept the claim of Mormon apologists that Anthon did indeed so testify and that his appraisal of the Caractors was correct. (Op. cit, pp. 73-75)

Save your money! Samples of Assyriac/Aramaic and Arabic writing:

What say you? Which of Smith's "Caractors" resemble the Assyriac and Arabic ones? No need to pay experts for their analysis. A child could accurately check this out. These writing systems have remained constant for well over 3000 years.

This country has a LARGE spiritual problem and we are trying to fix it with politics.

I doubt that it's gonna work even if we have a Trump, Cruz, _________ (put in your favorite) troika Presidency.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; ,

then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
