Last Wednesday, my daughter Alison was brutally struck down in the prime of her life by a deranged gunman. Since then, I have stated in numerous interviews with local, national and international media that I plan to make my life's work trying to implement effective and reasonable safeguards against this happening again.
In recent years we have witnessed similar tragedies unfold on TV: the shooting of a congresswoman in Arizona, the massacre of schoolchildren in Connecticut and of churchgoers in South Carolina. We have to ask ourselves: What do we need to do to stop this insanity?
In my case, the answer is: "Whatever it takes."
I plan to devote all of my strength and resources to seeing that some good comes from this evil. I am entering this arena with open eyes. I realize the magnitude of the force that opposes sensible and reasonable safeguards on the purchase of devices that have a single purpose: to kill.

I personally think the whole things smells to high heaven.
It would be just as implausible to say that Vester’s being homosexual caused him to kill Alison as it is to say that his being able to buy a gun is what caused him to kill her. Both propositions are equally illogical.
So a thought experiment:
Just imagine the wrath from the MSM and the POTUS that would descend upon Andy Parker if he said he was going to dedicate the rest of his life to “gay” control.

In his comments to the press Mr. Parker referred to the Second Amendment as a “perceived right”. I live in the viewing area and have had virtually 24/7 coverage on the three local TV channels.
I understand his grief and offer my condolences to him and his family.
I never watch CBS (Ch 7, and only watch NBC and ABC local news for the weather report.
I believe he has run for public office before, and may be considering a run for office again.
Lets start by prosecuting and sentencing all pre meditated murder perps by hanging publicly after a fair and speedy trial. Then, if you threaten or hurt anyone with a gun, knife or other object in hand with the intent to harm or kill, you go to jail. Then, if you incite violence, by mob action or preaching from a pulpit, you go to jail... gun violence is simply the extension of a violent heart and mind. Any time that mind acts upon its violent intent, whether use of a gun or other deadly object or the inciting others to do so, is what can’t be tolerated.
Losing a child: very distressing. Assessing where the problem was and remains leads me to station management. Why do you send a mobile broadcast unit out with no security?
Such a simple thing for the broadcast industry to do.
I wish they would do all in their power to get these pychos off the street.

He’s blaming the murder weapon, instead of the murderer.
He’ll do “anything it takes” for his misplaced rage funneled into his political cause, huh? He thinks the gun killed his daughter; not the black racist who used the gun. If he was to funnel his political rage sanely, he’d be after those who foment black race hate and murdering whites. I think this man is probably dangerous about now.
He’s sounding like the monster who murdered his daughter who would do anything it takes through his political cause of stopping imagined white racism and homophobia.
His focus should be on helping the mentally ill, not guns.
Is anyone really prepared to do what it takes to shut up demonic demagogues like this father?

My Suggestion to you sir to end gun violence, is form a Kersey Brigade and eliminate all the animals out there. Granted that may sound like opposite land, but eventually the animals will be removed and gun violence will decline dramatically.

Most every mass shooter has had mental health issues in their past. The can keeps getting kicked down the road.
