GLENN BECK: TEA PARTIERS WHO SUPPORT DONALD TRUMP ARE RACIST
Breitbart ^ | 9/15/2015 | Breitbart TV

Posted on 09/15/2015 12:36:58 PM PDT by Viennacon

On Tuesday, talk radio host Glenn Beck accused the Tea Party supporters of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump of being racists.

While he questioned whether Trump’s supporters are genuine Tea Partiers, Beck said of them, “If you were a Tea Party person, then you were lying. You were lying. It was about Barack Obama being black. It was about him being a Democrat.” Although he later identified fellow talk show host Sean Hannity as a Tea Party supporter who thinks Trump is “a great guy,” Beck said that he simply disagrees with Hannity about Trump.

Beck’s comments came as part of a discussion of Trump’s rally in Texas yesterday before a sold-out crowd of 20,000. Beck stated, “The media’s making this look like [Trump’s supporters are] Tea Party people. I don’t think these are Tea Party people who are following him. Some of them may be, but I think these — I mean, you can’t — if you were a Tea Party person, then you were lying. You were lying. It was about Barack Obama being black. It was about him being a Democrat, because this guy is offering you many of the same things, as shallow as the same way. If you said to me that it bothered you about his past, you said to me, ‘Hey, what about his relationship with Jeremiah Wright? What about what he’s done here, here, and here?’ You’re not bothered by this guy, and it’s exactly the same thing.”

1. [”guided by anyone but their voters “]

Do you think these guys are guided by voters? Seriously? They are guided by lobbyists, unless they have a strong WH leader who can get them lined out. By McConnell’s own admission, “what you tell the voters and what you do when you get to Washington are two different things.”

2. You need to substantiate your crazy idea that Romney was further left than any Republican.

Are you aware of history? At all? How about Lincoln opposing slavery? Pretty liberal opinion at the time.

What about Republicans promoting the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. Pretty liberal at the time.

Our Dictator thinks the Constitution is fluid. I say, positions are fluid. You take positions and back candidates based on the issues and situations you have before you. If you are a thinking person, you will not be intransigent, but will take positions based on what is right, not what fits your rigid ideals at the moment.

My great-great grandfather left the South and joined the 48th Illinois Infantry. He took an unpopular position in the South—a liberal position. It was the right decision. It was time to end an unconscionable practice.

Some of our other relatives owned slaves and were not abusive (as most were not). After the war, many slaves chose to stay as tenant farmers with our relatives. My mother grew up playing with the grandchildren of folks who had been slaves for her ancestors.

Understand: these were liberal, Republican positions in the South at the time!!! And they were the right positions.

Now, tell me again that Romney was the most liberal Republican.

Adults understand that the world does not always give us perfect choices.

And it does give us good ones. There are candidates more proven in support of our principles than Trump. None is the perfect, 100 percent choice. But we have people in the race who have stood and fought for us and our principles. Donald Trump may be a Tea Partier, may be a Reaganite. Or he may be a progressive. But I have heard very little from him in terms of issues; he's too busy insulting the other candidates. Perhaps we'll get some substance Wednesday night. Until then, I will opt for a candidate with an actual record.

The world is really changed, though, by changing hearts and minds. Spiritual change, changes in worldview, are more central than political activism — which is important.

Bill Buckley once said that the real secret of politics isn’t just to elect the right people, but to get the wrong people to do the right thing.

The reasons for Trump’s appeal are so obvious, and the huckster Beck is blind to it.

No, he's not blind to the reasons for Trump's appeal; he just doesn't completely trust Trump to be the man to make the necessary changes. Others in this race have proven themselves on that score and are in accord with the very things that are creating Trump's appeal. Mark Levin will tell you the same thing, although he's not quite as harsh about Trump.

Agreed. My preferred candidate is Cruz.

My commentary was to Norm Lenhart regarding his refusal to vote for Romney. Yes, Romney was more liberal than any of us would have preferred, but look what we have.

Yet, Lenhart brags about not voting for Romney like it’s some sort of badge of honor. We have the devil in the WH and he still thinks those who stayed home did the right thing.

Romney was the most liberal republican. History is what it is. The subject had been debated, hashed, rehashed and results proven via his actions for years. It’s not arguable by an hones person.

“They are not supposed to be rubber stamps or guided by anyone but their voters at all.”

Read that sentence until you understand the difference between I said, and what you misunderstood in your zeal to prove normie wrong.

If you call electing a man with a mirror record to Obama ‘the right thing’, you clearly shouldn’t be allowed in a voting booth.

If you call someone that stood on principle in a choice between two evils and voted for good the problem, then you belong on DU, not FR, especially since we have the entire time since that day to judge the action from. And in less than 24 hours from the great fail, Romney exposed himself as a total fraud.

You said Romney was the most liberal candidate in the history of the party.

I pointed out your error. That’s reality.

No it’s a fact. Denying it is your problem. If you want to deny that, be my guest. Doesn’t change the truth.
