At a Donald Trump event Thursday night in New Hampshire, a man asking a question prefaced it by saying that President Obama is a Muslim.
Trump is now drawing some heat for:
Trump did seem somewhat dismissive of the man's question, but in an interview with The Post afterward, Trump's campaign manager declined to say whether Trump believes Obama is a Muslim. This despite the president talking for years about his Christian faith.
Well, if Trump doesn't disagree that Obama is a Muslim, he's got plenty of company within his own base. According to a poll released just this week, as many as 54 percent of Trump supporters hold this incorrect belief.

There are 8 million people living in New York City.
If Obama isn’t a full blown Muslim he is close enough. When he brings in people to his administration that are Muslim then to me that seals the deal.

Obama changes the focus of many agencies — even NASA — to muslim outreach.
I like to ask this: If Obama actually WAS a declared Muslim, just what would he be doing differently?
Where’s the problem? He admits he is.
My solution has been for conservative to either individually or in a geouo buy out the owners. Can you name any owned by true conservatives?
I don’t think he’s a Muslim. I think he just strongly identifies with them due to his childhood upbringing. In truth, I doubt there is any god before Obama in his eyes.
How many Christians wear a ring inscribed with the Shahada? Gee I don’t know one.
Which was the correct way to handle it. Politely acknowledge, and move on. Nothing could be gained by publicly condemning the supporters thoughts. Those that claim McCain handled it properly may want to consider how his approach worked out for him.
I posted the following comment on the WashCompost.
If you were born and raised into a Jewish family would you be considered a Christian first. No.
If you were born and raised in a Christian family, would you claim that your early training in a Christian religious school turned you into a Buddhist? No, that’s laughable.
If your early life was spent in the largest Muslim country in the world and your parents were practicing Muslims, would anyone expect a child living in that family situation and culture to claim to have been a Christian at that period of his life? NO.
It’s normal for anyone to profess the faith of their parents as Obama surely did when he went to the Muslim school in Jakarta Indonesia and was registered as a Muslim.
All of the questions above lead us to the logical conclusion that Obama WAS a Muslim as a child. There is nothing wrong with that as many people on this site will agree that there are many fine faithful Muslims whose modernized and adapted beliefs do not marginalize them in the modern world.
Now he claims to be a Christian, apparently one who converted from Islam to Christianity at some unidentified point in his life. It may have been a formal conversion or a conversion for convenience when living in a Christian country. It’s clear he doesn’t want to discuss it and that is his privilege in America.
I believe Sharia law even provides for that so that Muslims living in a community where they are the minority do not get persecuted or forced to pay a tax for practicing their faith as ‘Infidels” of all other religions are forced to do in Muslim countries.
Wow, that’s an impressive list. I had heard most of them but when you see them all in one list, it is amazing that anyone has any doubts.
You didn't believe Nixon. Why blindly accuse this guy and Trump of doubting Obama's faith, words, honesty?

BTW, what is so terrible about being Muslim that you have to defend Obama?
And btw, Trump was either smart or lucky that he did not comment on that particular part of the question. He has always got to be careful of setups and the always present gotcha mentality of anybody in the news media. Beware of any person he is not sure is even marginally inclined to be fair and balanced.
That’s a solid core to build from.
