Didn't that witch doctor lay hands on her and give her some "blessing"? Can't find anything about it now but she supposedly communicated with "Eleanor".
All that is out there is heresay and gossip so I'll have to say I don't know what she's dabbled in. Bill probably mesmerized her. She's still very dependent on him to this day for some reason.
