Ben Carson departed from his no-offense campaign Friday to take a few swipes at Donald Trump, the only candidate ahead of him in the polls. Speaking at the National Press Club about racism he has faced in his life, the retired neurosurgeon said he was “very concerned about the Donald Trump people in our society.” During a question-and-answer period, Carson was asked if he would consider being Trump’s running mate. He responded by saying that he did not think he would be compatible with Trump. “I believe that Donald Trump has been very useful because he brought in a lot of people, a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm,” Carson said. “And whoever the eventual nominee is will benefit from that. But in terms of [working with] the next President, I would obviously want somebody who is compatible with me.” “The things that have to be done are very very serious things,” he added. “This can’t be tinkering around the edges… and I don’t think [Trump] has a whole lot of time to do that. So it would have to be somebody who is very compatible, somebody who understands the urgency of what we’re doing.” Carson typically avoids direct attacks on other candidates, and Trump has been defending Carson in the press for comments Carson made in the wake of the Oregon shooting suggesting that he would have been more aggressive towards the shooter.

You can never tell what Carson might do; he changes positions more often than he changes socks or underwear.
Cruz has no reason to do anything about Trump. He already knows that Trump is locked in where he is, and will go nowhere in the real contest. He has already said that Trump could never get elected.

The article was a joke. Carson never said no. He did say about needing compatible people. He handled the question well.

Is this guy serious? Trump’s tinkering around the edges? He’s proposing to build a 2,000 mile southern wall, send illegals back, end anchor baby citizenship, put an end to sanctuary cities, end our half a trillion dollar trade defecit with China, bring 2.5 trillion dollars of corporate earnings back in the country by reducing the tax rate to 10%, and more.
Carson’s comments are absurd and incoherent. He makes Jeb look ‘high energy’, and yet tries to argue that he would accomplish more than a human dynamo like Trump. Trump probably accomplishes more in an hour than Carson does in a month.
I like both Trump and Carson, but you can’t have a national party ticket where both the presidential and vice presidential candidates lack any electoral experience at all. It’d be great to have an outsider, but not two.
Someone has to know where the key to the men’s room is and where the bodies are buried. If Trump were the eventual nominee, I don’t see either Carson or Cruz filling that bill as the VP candidate.
I think the internals must be showing that Americans, in large numbers, are tired of bought and paid for candidates.
He does appeal to a huge amount of supporters, even people that don’t or didn’t particularly like him, like me.
You remember back when you were about the only person posting Donald Trump may announce soon threads, and I said to you that you seem to be the only one supporting Trump?
Well, now I also support Trump.
Funny how stuff like that happens.
The man said some things that really changed my mind on him. He’s an impressive person.
I hope that he does well, America needs a man who knows how to fight and a man who lover her.
Guys like Carson who are feeling their cheerios should think twice.....and remember that when it comes to Trump, snide cometh before a hard fall.

Dr. Carson’s deep faith, whatever it is, is not Christian. He is a 7th-day Adventist which is a cult with some Christian dogmas.

After listening to the entire speech and Q&A, I can tell you he said nothing like that and absolutely nothing critical or demeaning about Trump.
