Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America is calling on presidential candidate Ben Carson to sever ties with his longtime confidante, business manager and top outside campaign adviser, Armstrong Williams.
On October 5 Williams penned a barely-noticed article for The Hill titled "The Nation of Islam Could Be Chicago's savior.” On October 19, Townhall reprinted the same piece but this time with a different title: "To Curb Chiraq Violence, Bring in the NOI."
Williams calls on his readers to distinguish between “moderate” NOI-ers and the more virulent “extremists,’ spouting “inflammatory rhetoric” like Farrakhan. According to Williams, the organization’s partnership with the U.S. Department for Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the late 1980’s was a great success. Why not try to stop the “vicious cycle” of “fatherless children and young adults raised by the prison system” with an NOI security force paid for with federal funds.
That’s not all.
On October 10, Williams attended the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March in DC, telling a Washington Times reporter:
This is also an opportunity to look at how the Nation of Islam has been very successful in stemming violence, demonstrating manhood and inspiring greater accountability in some of the nation’s toughest urban centers. The Nation of Islam, especially Minister Farrakhan, is often controversial. But they’ve done some things right in violence-plagued communities, so let’s learn from them.

If Carson has any kind of a connection to Calypso Louie he is dead meat with conservatives.
I’m sure plenty of the conservatives that are supporting him will just turn the other cheek on this.

Didn’t we used to see Armtrong Williams on Fox years ago? As a black conservative voice? I noticed he was advising Carson, but had no idea he’s an NOI supporter.
Thank you so much for posting this! This is one of Ben Carson’s dangerous allegiances. His close association with Al Sharpton is another.
His association with any of these groups is no closer than Trump’s association with Bill and Hillary Clinton.
How long can Carson supporters deny the reality of Carson’s dangerous positions? His church, SDA, teaches its members to only serve in non combative roles in the military, but Carson thinks he can be a Pacifist and serve as Commander in Chief.
He wants to abolish Medicare, thinks it is immoral to deport illegals and wants to reward them with amnesty.
Trump was lambasted for having once been a Democrat, several years ago, but Carson became a Republican two weeks before he announced his candidacy and we heard nary a peep.
Carson’s entire candidacy doesn’t pass the smell test. I hope that Trump or Cruz will call him out on some of these policy issues.

Carson say he has the same goals as Sharpton and wants Farrakhan to be a Public Policy Leader in Chicago. I don’t see Trump opening up a can of worms like that.

I have no problem with someone being close friends with Armstrong Williams... Williams has a better conservative track record than Trump has, better than most people here. He’s also an associate of Justice Thomas, who has been one of our better Supreme Court justices.... and he was an aide to Strom Thurmond. He produced shows featuring Dick Cheney and Benjamin Netanyahu, and has taken a share of flak from some of the nastiest radical left groups.
The point is Trump is not close friends with the Clintons. That would be Jeb and W.
