According to the Russians : the pilot had sought to make an emergency landing in Cairo.
The flight profile and the stated actions of the pilots don’t line up. If you declare an emergency you reduce speed and descend to your preferred emergency airport. You don’t pull sharply nose up then sharply nose down. If it was something technical it happened very very quickly.
