Who’s arguing? I am just taking my opportunity to make sure any argument is based on all the facts as we know them. Apparently you did not read the rest of my post because we agree totally on the issue of any maintenance issues.

Airbus has its own issues of goofy things going wrong with its avionics and as I recall, it is the British and French, sacre bleu, who build those things.

To the Russian oligarchy, we know that the individual is not a concern and ergo that translates directly into any focus of individual safety.

It was very early yesterday that I saw the flight altitude chart recorded and all of a sudden, it fell like a rock. Either both engines failed at the same time or something else caused a mid-air breakup. I am totally on-board with the explosion in the cargo hold.

Like I said then when it was reported the pilot issued an emergency call that they had a technical failure and requested diverting to Cairo, I’m sure the pilots of PanAm 103 were also wondering what technical problem they just experienced while they were nosediving into Lockerbie.

Even if both engines fail shouldn't it be able to glide?
