Years back there was a B747 with a repaired pressure patch in the tail section that failed. Plane disintegrated. It was determined that it was a bad repair job.

It was determined that it was a bad repair job. Couldn't be that in this case because it was an Aeroflot plane, known to be always well maintained. ;-D

The JAL crash. US repair crew did a bad job. The tail was found separate from the plane. Just as in this case. Which, unfortunately doesn’t rule out an onboard explosion.

The plane didn't disintegrate. It did crash as a result of the structural and control damage caused by the decompression. It actually flew for 32 minutes before it crashed.
