Google CEO Sundar Pichai just responded to Donald Trump's suggestion that Muslims be banned from entering the United States. In a blog post on Medium Friday night, Pichai wrote, "Let's not let fear defeat our values," inferring that the anti-Muslim rhetoric so closely associated with Trump's presidential campaign is "disheartening."
Pichai continued, "The open-mindedness, tolerance, and acceptance of new Americans is one of the country's greatest strengths and most defining characteristics."
That's no coincidence, Pichai added, "America, after all, was and is a country of immigrants."
Pichai grew up in India and came to the US 22 years ago. He was named CEO of Google in August. Before that, he was in charge of all of Google's major products, including search, ads, Android, and maps.

I highly value a civilized, peaceful society that doesn’t have insane Allahu Akbar types running all over lopping off heads. THAT is an American value I can support, however we get it.

Google helped with Obama’s re-election campaign, and one of their former chiefs is working with the Democrats on this next election. I think we should be very nervous about possible tampering—we already know that Google interferes with our searches politically.
New immigrants were NEVER met with "open arms" and it took many generations for their descendants to be "welcomed" into the fold. And that was only after they had been fully assimilated for generations !

Wouldn't it be horribly tragic if a Silicon Valley CEO were to be beheaded by one of their Muslim H1B Visa holders? It would be awful.

My cousin used to work for google but recently left. He’s a flaming lib, wasn’t really that far left til he started working for google. I wouldn’t wish anything bad on Google, but its just sad that people have forgotten about 9/11, like it never happened, like those towers never fell
