...Rush Limbaugh criticized ... Donald Trump for his remarks about fellow candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia, saying the attacks raised “red flags” and that Trump’s attack on Cruz are “no different than what the Democrat Party would say” on Monday.
Rush said, after playing a clip of Trump calling Cruz a “maniac” in the Senate, “even people who are not particularly aligned with Cruz on the right have gotta be curious about this because this is no different than what the media would say about Ted Cruz. This is no different than what the Democrat Party would say. I mean, this is what the Republican establishment would say, for crying out loud.”
He continued, “He’s essentially put on his Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) hat here, saying, ‘I’m Donald McCain, and I’m the guy that can cross the aisle and work with the other side. Ted Cruz can’t.’ I was kind of surprised by that.” He also stated, “for somebody running for the Republican nomination, who has set himself up as anti-establishment, to join the establishment in that kind of criticism of Cruz, I don’t get it. It doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

But he’s clearly making himself out to be anti-establishment, and yet he joins them here. And then he dumped on Cruz for being opposed to ethanol? And that, again, is not a conservative position. To go after Cruz on that basis, is again the way the Democrats and the media would go after him.”

Yeah, there's old Juan Cruz stabbing Trump in the back in what he foolishly thought was a secret meeting with his big donors. Playing the nuke button card on Trump.
Listening to Rush and Hannity today, one would have thought that Trump's Sunday remarks came before Cruz's Thursday remarks. Neither did an objective job of presenting this little story. - It continues, talking and talking about what Trump said about Cruz, but little or nothing about what Cruz said about Trump - first.
Does this lack of core beliefs not bother you? What if his "game" changes in the future.
It will be interesting to see how long Trump withholds response on Twitter.

Cruz flip flopped on H1B, immigration and TPP within the last two years.

Others would say a 2% lead over Cruz is within the margin of error. Besides, Cruz’s debating skills are second to none and has a brilliant grasp of the issues.

Affirmative action was always the means to take from one person and give such to anyone who claimed they had rights and privileges due them because of past inequities. Forgotten intentionally was that many persons over the years of settlers in the US was that most immigrants worked their butts off during the depression and great war years to earn being part of the US exceptionalism.

I think the GOPe has gotten to Cruz ... Other recent events : England wants to ban Trump ; Bibi has come out against Trump ; and Rush Limbaugh has jumped on the anti-Trump train . Velly intelesting ...
I’ll always be grateful to Trump for smashing through the PC barrier and opening up the national conversation to issues we need to talk about, including border security and Muslim immigration.
That being said, Rush is absolutely right in his criticism of Trump. Even if Cruz did criticize Trump in a private meeting (a fact not in evidence), Trump was way off base to criticize Cruz for standing up, almost single-handedly, to the Washington Cartel in an attempt to protect our interests.
Also, do Trump supporters think that criticizing Cruz for standing against government subsidies is a good thing? Add Trump’s position on Kelo and we see a man who is very comfortable with government using our tax dollars to pick winners and losers.
I get a very disquieting “Mussolini” vibe from Trump. He strikes me as a guy who always has to be right, even when he’s wrong. He’s also way too quick to go after others for perceived, or even real slights. These are dangerous character flaws for a President.
We do need a “wrecking bull” in DC but I want a bull who will deliberately walk down into the field and take care of business, not one who will chase every red cape waved at him.
I vote Cruz.
Why can't Ted just tell us how he would work with the liars he has so correctly named?
All Trump is doing is throwing some mud at Cruz...trying to dirty him up. I suppose if I had to fill a three hour radio program I’d try to make more out of it than that...
So it’s ok for Cruz to call Trump ill equipped to be President, wrong temperament, no judgement but when Trump brings up Cruz’s temperament, it’s sooo bad.
You Cruz bots, ask yourself where Cruz would be without Trump. Honestly look at whether he could have weathered the media storm for Fiorina surging, for first woman President, etc. Ask yourselves if he could have held up against Christie with his Trump style brashness, against Rubio with the media behind him.
Cruz would have been out before it started and he knows it. He’s let Trump fight the world then wants to step in but it doesn’t work that way. This isn’t a situation where we’ve knocked out the GOPe and permanently defeated the media. It’s an ongoing battle and there’s only one who can win it, Trump.
And if everyone goes for this true conservative who btw voted for TPA cloture and wants legal status for immigrants, if those good intentioned patriots, Rush included, get their way and Cruz goes ahead, it;s over. Cruz is only near the top because Trump has cleared the way. Cruz hasn’t fought the GOP and media 24/7 since the primaries started, Trump has. Cruz hasn’t weathered the biggest media firestorms in history, Trump has. Watch how quickly the GOPe and media reclaim their power if their latest strategy aka Cruz takes Trump out. Bank on it..
