In Michigan, there are no laws barring felons from being elected officials -- the exception being those convicted of fraud or public corruption charges related to service as a government official.

Well, isn't that something. Problem is people of low character use the position to further their bank accounts. The thing with Williamson was yeah he was a crook and everyone knew it, but he actually wanted to help Flint. He even took no pay (or only a buck) for his effort.

One of Flint's first democrap mayors - was Francis Limmer - spent time in the pokey after he served as mayor. As a 10th grader I worked on his campaign for one of the westside wards. I did not know the difference between a democrat and republican back then. Didn't know I was helping a crook.

So, to the universe and to all reading this post I am truly sorry.
