Regarding Cruz: Patriots Can’t Have it Both Ways
Lloyd Marcus.com ^ | January 23, 2016 | Lloyd Marcus

Some patriots say they will not vote for Cruz because he has alienated too many people in DC and will be unable to make deals. But wait a minute. You complained that Republicans do not stand up for We the People and make too many deals.

Well what do you think has alienated Cruz in DC? Cruz has faithfully stood up for We the People, unwilling to betray us with back room deals. You cannot have it both ways folks.

We finally have a true general and some suggest mutiny. I would rather fight side by side with our conservative version of Patton, Ted Cruz.

God bless, Lloyd Marcus, The Unhyphenated American

Does no one see the irony in this cruz/beck meltdown? I mean cruz had been sitting back waiting for Trump to do all the heavy lifting and then implode so cruz could slide into Trumps shoes. But in the end, it is cruz that is imploding.

The fact that FR, for the first time in weeks, is not drowning in “Trump sucks” articles shows that the Cruz people understand this.

And just the slightest vetting causes Cruz to fall over like a paper tiger.

Can you imagine Trump will do when he is able to to line politicians pockets with your tax dollars. Wake up!

You just pointed out that the American people haven’t a clue; I shudder to see their November 8 decisions.

Was Cruz standing up for We The People when he voted for the Corker Bill?

Don’t think so.

Some patriots say they will not vote for Cruz because he has alienated too many people in DC and will be unable to make deals.

And some of us believe due to his Allegiances at birth, he is NOT eligible for the Office and by voting for him we are, in fact, bearing false witness.

I guess sometimes you're just forced to choose where your loyalties are.

I liked it better when the democrats were enemy instead of this Cruz vs Trump, Trump vs Cruz childish crap. I love the fact I have 2 great candidates to choose from in the primary. As usual, our side decides to turn on itself and do every damn thing possible to self destruct.

If Cruz can’t manage his own campaign successfully, how well can he manage the country?

That has been engineered from the top and has nothing to do with a lack of enthusiasm for Cruz from the base on FR.

I guess it’s matter of perspective. You see someone who has ‘’stood up for us’’. I see someone who has stabbed us in the back, indirectly called us stupid right to our faces, & is pushing really, really hard for the opportunity to REALLY stick it to America. In other words, a lot like 0bama- Cuban/ Canadian style.

Trump’s comments about not trusting the states to do the right thing with federal lands is absolute anti conservatism that will hurt him more the further west he goes.

Even here in Michigan this morning we were talking about the ever growing federal “buffer zones” adjacent to federal lands and the restrictions placed on private owners who have found themselves in them.

I’ve got state land all around me and we don’t have the problems with the state over what we do on our property. One of the guys I had coffee with this morning has a deal to farm on some 50 acres of field in the state game area. He has to leave something like 10% of the corn standing for wildlife.

Or maybe Cruz supporters are tired of being called stupid, closet Hillary supporters, unAmerican and a few names I can't repeat here. So they no longer feel welcome.

Do Trump supporters really want to alienate those who disagree with them on this site? Remember that FR operates on donations, so if a certain segment of the “audience” becomes alienated, those donations will dry up. Do you really want to do that to Jim? Do you really want this site to go belly up?

Speaking as someone who supports Cruz it has nothing to do with me altering my opinion. I'm just sick of the mudslinging.

No ones mind is being changed, no matter what some of the more 'enthusiastic' posters may think.

Excellent post. To attack Cruz for being hard to get along with, simply tells me he has all the right enemies.

Cruz is the guy we’ve been needing for decades now. We said we wanted a guy like him and now we’ve got him. All we have to do is tune out the noise machine and have his back.
