Posted on 02/01/2016 3:07:17 PM PST by markomalley

A search shows that nobody's opened up a live thread for tonight's caucuses. So here goes.

Predictions? For both the GOP and Dem nominations?

Eyewitness Accounts? See any funny business going on?

“I did some googling, from a web site put out by Breckinridge, Colorado it appears that the town was named after the Confederate Secretary of War, I got it wrong I thought he was their Vice President.”

Wow! Thanks! I had no idea.

Don’t know much yet about Colorado, except that it’s a lot cooler than Texas!

Let’s all be thankful that Bush and Kasich are in the toilet tonight. Turn your attention to Rubio because that’s the GOPe’s Last Stand.

I’m pretty happy with Trump in second place. The guy never ran for office before and he’s second in the evangelical capital of America. He’s way ahead in NH and SC. It all looks good to me.

I think Trump fell victim to “Bart Simpson” syndrome. Does this sound familiar?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa’s_Substitute

In a subplot, Bart’s class prepares to elect a class president. During a debate with Martin, Bart tells jokes and wins the class over. Afterwards, certain of Bart’s inevitable victory thanks to his popular campaigning, none of the children in his class—including himself—actually voted, giving Martin the victory with just two votes.

You don’t think there’s a difference between Cruz, who has a 97% conservative voting record and Hillary or Bernie. WTH? For that matter, Rubio, who’s got it right on a lot of issues (although horribly wrong on some others).

Reagan used to say we are always one election away from losing the country. This is that election.

I agree with you. This is that election. I pray for the American people to chose freedom and liberty. I also agree that Trump has forced a conversation about issues that needed to be brought to the forefront. I also think that Cruz did the same thing in the Senate (for those of us who pay attention to politics outside of the election cycle).

We don’t need an “alpha male.” We’re not a tinpot third world dictatorship. Intelligence is what we need and what Cruz delivers.

Incorrect, but you’ll understand after the general election debates.

It’s looks that way based upon the numbers. This is very high for Rubio.

I agree, but am asking why do you think this is the case? Do you think that there is fraudulent voting? Do you think that some got a "yuck" factor when presented with the possibility of voting for Trump? Do you think there were Democrat infiltrators? Or what?

Full disclosure: I'm a Cruz person (but don't want to get into the catfights that have erupted here in the past few weeks), so I don't have a dog in the Trump/Rubio tradeoff.

I hope stupid Iowa Rubio supporters are happy. They gave Iowa to Cruz. Oh well. Establishment sticks it to us again. NH can’t get here fast enough.

“Rubio took some of Trumps votes...5-7% of it.”

If they voted for Rubio then they weren’t really Trumps votes.

It will be a 3 man race from here on...Rubio has exceeded expectations, Cruz finished as expected & Trump finished somewhat below expectations.

What this really means is NH becomes more important. And SC becomes even more critical.
