I didn’t see or hear the debate tonight. I tried to follow the live thread, but it was just painful to see Freepers ripping each other to shreds.

The FReepers who *do* the Rally threads — and KEEP TROLLS OUT or at least under control — keep on posting after rally is over. They/we enjoy discussing things without painful trolling.
They decided rather than begin a new thread for the debate, they would continue the debate discussion on the same rally thread.
I followed that one - nice. Later took a glance at the main debate thread - BUT DIDNT STAY THERE LONG byeeee

When a thread becomes contentious, I usually begin skimming past the loudest posters. On occasion I step into the fray myself, though I do try to keep it civil, while attempting to get through to the other person. I’m not always successful in that. Tempers and emotions have ratcheted up so high here lately, that much of the time, I just steer clear.
