Well yes, a pillow over a dead body’s face is a strange place to find it.

But would a killer who smothered the justice with a pillow leave it over his head?

If the killer wants us to know that he is a government employee and above the law, he would leave the pillow on the face.

That kind of signal is perfect: Those who wish to remain asleep will remain asleep. Those who are awake will get the message, and those who wish to remain asleep will call them names, like “conspiracy theorist.”

Sure.

All those who commit crimes do not do perfect jobs. Bad guys leave behind cell phones at homicide scenes, ID's, wallets, you name it. If there was a homicide the suspect, they could have become spooked, scared or distracted and fled before making things nice. Who knows.

Bottom line, an autopsy should be performed. No doubt they're already looking at everyone who was there. Or should be. This is just common sense and routine if red flags exist.

Yes. It sends a message similar to a horse head in a bed.

We aren’t up against Boy Scouts here, kiddos.

Yes. They would. If it is intended to create suspicion. If it is intended to send a message. If it is intended to divide and create debate that distracts. Then it is working just as it was intended.

Of course there is always the possibility that he died in his sleep with no foul play at any time early in that day or even prior weeks and months. And it is possible that he liked to sleep with a pillow over his face. But I personally think that murder is the likelihood in this case.
