Highest numbers ever for Trump in this poll. 39% to 19% for Rubio to 18% for Cruz. Cruz only winning in the "Very Conservative Group" and is losing evangelicals to Trump by 5 points. Losing men and women by over 20 points and somewhat conservative, moderate and liberal voters by 35. Ted is a one trick pony with narrow appeal. Jeb and Kasich are nowhere to be found in this poll. Low singles.

more nonsense about ted. Why Can’t ANYBODY face that ted does better against hillary than trump? fox, quinippac, nbc etc.

cruz wins by 1 donald loses by 3.

i believe the polls that say trump will win the nomination, jut like a believe the polls saying he is losing to hillary.

his unfavorability number is stratospheric.

i hope he gets it down..

ted is in his mid 40s. great showing for a first run.

2024 will come soon enough. all the years do.

From an earlier thread on todays PPP

The Donald Trump juggernaut rolls to a 2-1 lead among Republican voters nationwide, with 39 percent, his highest total so far.

I think it might even be higher for Trump and Rubio might be second.

Ted can win in a courtroom where his opponent is a lawbook....but against a real person....he's sorely lacking.

In the meantime, he's far from fulfilling his obligations in the Senate. His attendance and voting record stinks.

Cruz only winning in the "Very Conservative Group"

So then I guess I'm right in supporting Cruz. The more I see of the Donald, especially since this last debate, the more I think his purpose is to divide conservatives because this is the only way a very flawed Liberal Democrat can worm her way into the WH.

The irony here is Cruz didn't need to lie. If he had remained honest, he would still be competitive. Liars lie, they can't help it.— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) February 17, 2016

I’m sorry but Cruz has totally lost me at this point. I think Trump will be able to manage anyone he nominates as VP. It no longer has to be Cruz. In fact, I hope it isn’t.

Yea, it does appear that Trump’s so-called ‘ceiling’ is increasing. Hopefully Trump’s SC results come close to matching this poll, if they do, then almost certainly Bush will be put out to pasture, hopefully before his mother drops dead from being dragged around the country for by him.

I’m just tired of the Trump/Bush back and forth, even though Trump has to do what he’s doing. Bush has the money and connections to come back to life if he’s not KO’d, and unlike Romney (against Obama) Trump has NO PLANS to allow that to happen.

Then, hopefully, we can finish off Rubio and wind this thing up with Trump and Cruz teaming together (they still have way more in common than not in common).

It was absolutely GREAT yesterday that Obama said Trump will NEVER be president - WOW what a positive statement for Trump. It’s gonna make people look at him again if Obama is against him.

Morning Joe made a good point......everytime Obama opens his mouth ......Trump gets stronger.

Americans watched the wimp-in-chief lacerate Trump at the Asean confab.......Trump strength never looked better.

BTW, Mika and Joe will moderate a Trump town hall tonight on MSNBC.

I disagree. I think Cruz’s internals are ok.

In fact, Rubio, Cruz, Sanders, and Clinton have higher numbers (or close) on “honesty” “shares my values.” On “experience,’ a stunning 97% of polled people say Hillary has the experience. But when asked to prioritize the issues on which they vote, it comes down to two things:

“leadership” (Trump leads) and “jobs”

By 4:1 18-44 say economy/jobs most important, and about 2:1 or 3:1 overall people say more important than terorism. Health care in low single digits-—EVEN WITH DEMS health care is low double digits.

Also, Trump scores VERY high with “born again/evangelicals” as well as “very conservative” (little lower than Cruz, but high) and super high with “somewhat conservative”

If I’m Rubio or Cruz (or Cankles or Sanders) I think this is a good poll for me. But you’d be overlooking those two key areas, “leadership” and “jobs.”
