DONALD J. TRUMP POSITION ON VISAS
www.donaldjtrump.com ^ | March 4,2016 | Donald J Trump

Posted on 03/03/2016 10:18:37 PM PST by GeaugaRepublican

"Megyn Kelly asked about highly-skilled immigration. The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay. I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse and ending outrageous practices such as those that occurred at Disney in Florida when Americans were forced to train their foreign replacements. I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions."

You can side with Rubio, I'll side with the guy who has actually accomplished something in his life. Trump is estimated to be worth 250-500 million bucks, and has screwed his creditors for 4,700 million bucks. He is about as good of a bsiness man as Obama. Oh, wait. Bammy never went bankrupt...

Interesting acomplishment there.

“And one of the biggest problems we have is people go to the best colleges ... as soon as they’re finished, they get shoved out. They want to stay in this country. They want to stay here desperately. They’re not able to stay here. For that purpose, we absolutely have to be able to keep the brainpower in this country.”

“I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions.”

This does not preclude allowing some to stay where there are positions available that are not filled by Americans.

In other words, one does not preclude the other. This is a thorny issue for all politicians.

The brightest students would leave and start competing ventures outside the US. that’s is the rub. However, most people being brought in on HB1 visas do not fit the “people go to the best colleges”. In Silicon Valley they are not bringing in better students...they are doing it because the company owns the slot...its a form of servitude. Even though the HB1 visa worker is supposed to be paid the “prevailing wage” this gets cheated all the time. It also makes it difficult for the visa worker to go to another company because they must get permission from their “corporate sponsor”. If you allowed no corporate sponsorship...it would take away the companies incentive to bring them...they would become “free agents” like other grads and the wages would rise.

There is a lot more to this program than people realize.

My question to those that have been on this planet greater than 50 years is simple.

What do you think Trump will do that will help or hurt America?

Time is no requirement.

Your numbers are wrong.

FEC form 203 A. Have a calculator handy. Its a massive filing and Mr. Trump is worth conservatively, by using the lowest values in the range of over 8 billion.

Conservatively. No guessing required. If I had time, I could create a balance sheet for Mr. Trump off of those records.

I’m in my 40s so I think I can still answer...I don’t know. trump’s never held office and has had liberal positions over 50 years. I don’t know if trump will help or hurt the country. with trump its the great unknown. makes me nervous

If Trump had a contractor that had hired illegal latinos, Rubio wouldn’t have crowed, ‘mexicans’ or ‘latinos’, and neither would the author of the article - it would have been ‘migrant labor’ or ‘undocumented workers’ - nice and PC.

If Rubio had taken the time to research Soviet-bloc Poland in the late 60’s thru 70’s, he might have taken pause at the plight of the stateless, expired-visa Poles in NY, desperate for political asylum status. Certainly he would have understood why the Poles were ‘illegal’, being a PA status citizen himself and a self-proclaimed student of Reagan. But then he wouldn’t be able to pander to latinos. Because for Rubio, “polish” is apparently code for people who need ‘spray-tans’

Out of the blue here.

I have noticed that cities are not burning and cop cars in NYC are not being crapped on.

I wonder why?

I think they should get rid of corporate sponsors entirely.

The main users of the programs have pacts behind closed doors to not offer positions to each others workers.

Since the company “owns the slot” it is used to depress wages and not allow free movement meaning, less competition to retain these employees.

Without the corporate sponsorship feature, I believe you would see these wages advance and fewer companies request these workers, who would be working at a competitive rate rather than a false “prevailing rate”.

It’s smart of Trump’s team putting mentioning Megyn Kelly because of all the Trump Kelly search results.

He holds every position I’ve ever heard of.

He is 10,000,000,000. good for it.

Watch the difference already. St. Louis or Chicago has no news. The morons running around NYC and setting up on Broad and Wall are gone.

Not even the homeless in Seattle or San Francisco. It all goes away. The people are conditioned to 20 second moments.

The current CIC has created an atmosphere in America that has repercussions on a daily basis. The kids are running around with reckless abandon.

The elderly and retiring are losing money at 0 interest.
All by design.

I have had enough of Wednesday party night at the White House.

John McCain said we have nothing to fear from Obama. Make the connection.

If the Trump’s program were managed in a smart manner, it would provide a world “brain drain” that could benefit the US.

It reminds me of what is happening in San Francisco. Much of the Tech talent is going to those areas generating a ton of industry and wealth.

That is the immigration policy we should be behind, not bringing in the bottom of the barrel.

Give me 50,000 geniuses working in the US rather than another 50,000 migrants who will soon be replaced by the robots designed by the 50,000 geniuses....

What has Donald Trump done specifically for American workers?

He employs thousands of them on his own dime, from what I understand.

I am almost positive that it is against the HB1 Visa laws, but the workers were afraid to say anything or they would not be able to get another job in the tech field.

The one gentlemen who recently testified felt free to do so since he switched fields.

Let’s see what our feckless government does to Disney.

lol
if Trump really really wanted that house, all he had to do was wait four months for the tax collector to sieze it for the $25K owed in back taxes that the woman couldn’t pay. Instead, he gave the woman the money to pay those taxes and fix the place up
now what?
