Conservatives in Paul Ryan's district: VOTE FOR SOMEBODY ELSE!!

Posted on 03/08/2016 3:38:41 AM PST by cotton1706

The time has come for desperate measures against the Oligarchy.

We must continue to remove the heads of the republican establishment until they begin to listen to the American people.

Eric Cantor has been removed. John Boehner has been removed. Kevin McCarthy has been prevented. And while there were rumblings of a primary challenge to Speaker Paul Ryan, it’s now early March and not a single person has yet stepped up to the plate.

Primary elections in the State of Wisconsin will be held on August 9, 2016.

Without a strong primary challenge, Paul Ryan will breeze to the November ballot.

And what then?

Conservatives in Paul Ryan’s district should be prepared to vote against him should he make it to the November ballot, by either withholding their votes or by voting for some other candidate, even the democrat, to weaken or even defeat him.

Ryan’s seat can be made up elsewhere, and the House of Representatives would be rid of its latest oligarchical leader.

Now most of us would say that ANY republican is better than ANY democrat.

But remember that the Establishment doesn’t see things that way. To them, electing a democrat is actually PREFERABLE to electing a conservative.

Remember John Warner endorsing Tim Kaine, or Richard Lugar endorsing Michelle Nunn, or Dede Scozzafava endorsing Bill Owens, or Bill Bolling endorsing Terry McCauliffe. Remember the republican legislators who endorsed Sam Brownback’s democrat opponent in Kansas and the Establishment donors who said that they would vote for Hillary if Trump or Cruz is the Republican nominee. And these are just a few examples!

Eric Cantor’s loss defeated Amnesty! Conservatives in Paul Ryan’s district can strike a similar blow for Liberty!

VOTE AGAINST PAUL RYAN!!!

Sometimes we have to take 1 step back to move 2 step forward. This seat is worth sacrificing

Ryan needs to be returned to private life. If that means electing a Democrat, then so be it.

They always hold it over our head, that the alternative is a Democrat. Then they vote with the Democrats. They need to know that abandoning core principles is a ticket back to private life.

Is it too late to primary him? Even with a write in vote?

You posit an interesting idea. So, it would be preferable for the citizens of Ryan’s district to not have, even, adequate representation, based on your astute political strategy.

Each Congressional district is entitled to select the best representative for themselves. I’ll take Ryan over a commie any day. Why don’t you run? Don’t live in the district? Then stay out of it.

I agree with you that it's probably in his district's interest to keep Ryan in power. He seems like the kind of guy who brings home a whole lot of bacon to his voting fodder.

But can't you see that for us not in your district that he has totally given up the conservative agenda? Since you voters probably won't do the job, all we can hope for is a juicy scandal to take him out of leadership.

PS: Cantor's district had the integrity and talent to come up with a candidate who was indisputably better, and Cantor got primaried.

JMHO

I notice that Ryan has meetings scheduled with Trump and Cruz to formulate a conservative agenda. Doesn’t sound like someone who has rejected the conservative movement.

I also have a pretty good idea of what would happen here if we “primaried” him. We’d end up with a rabid Milwaukee Dem as our rep. How does that advance the citizens of Southeast Wisconsin, or the rest of the US?

As far as your snarky comment, he hasn’t sent me any yet, but I’ll be awaiting my package. Bacon...yummm....

They need to know that abandoning core principles is a ticket back to private life.

The problem is he's got a YUGE pension coming to him and he'll end working for some K Street firm. That's not exactly private life.

I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying he's not going to return to his congressional district either.
