Rubio campaign accuses Cruz of 'dirty tricks' in Hawaii

Marco Rubio’s campaign is accusing Ted Cruz’s campaign of “using a bogus story from CNN to spread false rumors” that the Florida senator is dropping out of the race.

"Senator Cruz is up to his dirty tricks again spreading false rumors and lies. We won't allow him to do to Marco Rubio in Florida what he did to Ben Carson in Iowa,” Rubio spokesman Joe Pounder said in a statement. “Floridians and voters across the country will reject Senator Cruz's campaign of disgusting tactics because they know a vote for Cruz is a vote for Donald Trump."

Pounder is referring to an email sent out by Cruz’s Hawaii surrogates titled “WASTED VOTE.”

Looks like win at all costs Ted Cruz is up to his old tricks in Hawaii. Cruz is better than this. I expected better from a principled conservative.

Yet ANOTHER reason to NOT TrusTed.

But this is good that Ruboto is outing Cruz. Hopefully when Marcobot folds after Fla., some of his supoprt will; migrate to Trump, or sit out the rest of the primary.

I suspected this when all the rumors started about Rubio dropping out. Especially when the Rubio campaign guy went ballistic on air saying he didn’t know where this crap started but totally untrue.

It’s Cruz’s pattern, Carson in Iowa, Trump’s mob connection with his taxes, the bombshells the press is supposedly sitting on, etc. He puts it out there knowing it’s like the judge telling jurors to ignore, can’t unhear.

Perhaps the reason why UntrusTed wants to face Trump alone is so he can pull out all stops on his lies and deception and execute an all-out offensive of falsehoods and smears with an all too willing GOPe and media army.

The email from Cruz’s Hawaii campaign goes on to say, “According to multiple news sources, Marco Rubio’s advisers are telling him to drop out of the presidential race before losing his home state of Florida in a few days time.” (Emphasis from the Cruz campaign.)

The Cruz campaign’s email lists only one source: a CNN story that said some of Rubio’s advisers want him to exit the race before Florida takes to the polls in order to save his reputation in case he loses his home state — a report the Rubio campaign has vehemently denied.

I’ve been saying something seems up with the fact that only CNN reported these “inside Rubio sources” for this story. I don’t think CNN is in on the scam, I think they’re just about the stupidest and laziest network out there that will report any “scoop” they think will give them a ratings boost.

This has Jeff Roe written all over it.

A vote for Cruz is a vote for Trump? Was that an accidental slip?

If so, we can end the war here on FR. Or at least just playfight like our candidates are.

Rubio should never have trusted Cruz after what he did to Carson, but they went after trump while ignoring each other and now Cruz backstabs him like he did to Carson.

Uh, it’s a news story from CNN. It has been heavily reported on this site as well.

This isn’t a “dirty trick”.
