Jeffrey Gundlach, the widely followed investor who runs DoubleLine Capital, foresees a “global growth scare” between now and the end of the summer, triggered by a presidential nomination of Donald Trump.
“That is where I see the vulnerabilities,” Gundlach said in a telephone interview on Monday. Trump’s protectionist policies could mean negative global growth, Gundlach warned. “As he gets the nomination, the markets and investors are going to worry about it more. You will see a downgrading of global growth based on geopolitical risks. You must factor this into your risk-management.”

The establishment everywhere seems to be terrified of Trump -- which, as I see it, is a good thing.

The problem for them, in this scenario, is that Trump and most people at that level of finance know their vulnerabilities, and how to exploit them.
If electing Trump brings it down, it was coming down anyway...
The world economy is already hanging by a thread.
Whatever happens in the next 12 months, there is nothing anybody can do to stop it and had nothing to do with Trump.
I would expect lots of shenanigans around election day, and dumping of stock soon after by our ‘bettors’ to send us a message.
