Donald Trump escalated his feud with Ted Cruz on Twitter Tuesday — but this time he also involved the Texas senator's wife.
The real estate mogul tweeted that the Texas senator should "be careful" or he would "spill the beans on your wife" Heidi Cruz.
"Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!," he tweeted Tuesday evening, just minutes before polls closed in Arizona. Trump tweeted and deleted a similar version of the Tweet about 10 minutes earlier.
Trump appears to be referring to a Facebook advertisement targeted to Mormons that shows Trump's wife, Melania, posing nude. That ad was produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, which has no known connection to the Cruz campaign.
Cruz responded on Twitter by saying that the ad was not from him and if he went after his wife, then Trump is a "coward."
"Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless," Cruz tweeted.
Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from in order to help her husband's campaign. She has become one of the campaign's most accomplished fundraisers.

Cruz has always been a misfit. He’s still a misfit and not fittin’ for high elected office. He is just another politician for sale to the highest bidder. I agree with you. Trump is the true American.
It’s not his SuperPAC, it’s Liz Mair’s. Make America Awesome is an Anti-Trump PAC with no affiliation to Ted Cruz. If Rubio had been the top anti-Trump candidate, this same PAC would have ran the same ad with the caption “Vote for Rubio.”

Everything about the Cruz campaign is just so sordid and repulsive, filled with a viciousness and penchant for lies that is beyond belief. Notice how Cruz never denounced Liz Mair’s ad or even try and distance himself from it. No class whatsoever. Cruz was headed for a top court appointment under President Trump. I’d say that bridge is burned to the ground now.
I still believe this is all staged. This is even funnier.
It is indeed classless of Trump to make such threats. And the folks who have partaken of the Trump kool-aid have metamorphosed into mindless, gullible robots who then feel compelled to utter the same CLASSLESS words, IMHO.
If you have proof of your allegations, please present it to the FEC, since that would be illegal coordination.

Thanks. I agree and Cruz will say anything to get elected as all politicians do. I hope Trump wins and deports Cruz back to Saskatchewan or wherever in Canada he was born.
They knew Trump would “go there” about Heid. Know he gets to call Trump a coward while disavowing knowledge of the ad. And he gets to sway the voters of Utah.
Any doubt Ted Cruz would sacrifice his family for politics just went out the window.
These people don’t care about the truth. It’s really sickening to watch this on Free Republic. We used to pride ourselves on exposing the lies instead of tearing good men apart with lies.
My problem with Ted’s comment is that he should have disavowed the ad. He says it isn’t from him, but it uses his name. He should say he doesn’t support him.
