Donald Trump escalated his feud with Ted Cruz on Twitter Tuesday but this time he also involved the Texas senator's wife.
The real estate mogul tweeted that the Texas senator should "be careful" or he would "spill the beans on your wife" Heidi Cruz.
"Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!," he tweeted Tuesday evening, just minutes before polls closed in Arizona. Trump tweeted and deleted a similar version of the Tweet about 10 minutes earlier.
Trump appears to be referring to a Facebook advertisement targeted to Mormons that shows Trump's wife, Melania, posing nude. That ad was produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, which has no known connection to the Cruz campaign.
Cruz responded on Twitter by saying that the ad was not from him and if he went after his wife, then Trump is a "coward."
"Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless," Cruz tweeted.
Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from in order to help her husband's campaign. She has become one of the campaign's most accomplished fundraisers.

I would have done the same thing without a moment's hesitation.
Fight pond-scum filth with fire!
Good for you, Mr. Trump.
Leni
Use your common sense.
Especially when Cruz has a demonstrated propensity in this primary season to have the dirty work done through proxies. Trump? He puts it out on his twitter feed. Cruz? Happy to let someone else do the wet work. How lawyerly.
Yes he is, he proves it more every day.
Done with the Beck, Barton, Seven Mountain crowd -- it's embarrassing now.
Heidi was fair game even before the ad because she’s working on the campaign and is actively raising funds.
No moron, nobody has a Wannsee conference document proving it. And nobody but an idiot thinks its not highly coordinated. Its almost an open secret in campaigns.
The topic is a Cruz PAC going after Trumps wife.
And the possibility of Trump going after Cruz’s wife.
Trump has never gone after Cruz’s wife.
That may change, unless Cruz disavows the PAC ad.
This attack on Trumps wife is a mistake, just like Cruz siding with the
thugs in Chicago. Cruz lost MO and NC because of it.
IT IS NOT A CRUZ PAC!
Just an fyi...
Cruz has protected your freedom of religion before the supreme court.
Cruz has protected your 2nd amendment rights before the supreme court.
Cruz has tried to kill Obama care one Senate.
The list goes on and on and on.
Being a trump fan does not excuse willful ignorance.
Agreed. He not only should have disavowed the ad, but he should have communicated to his PACs that certain things are off limits, and using Trump’s family is a CLEAR boundary that should have been set.
Very bad form on Cruz on several counts. Very disappointing - I used to like him.
“Trump kool-aid have metamorphosed into mindless, gullible robots”
All day, every day and they don’t realize they are turning people who might agree with them, OFF.
The Manchurian Candidate?
The Donald just fired a shot across Cruz’s bow. Cruz should protect his wife. Trump ain’t playin’ around when it comes to his family.
Same way as Beck...Washington state via a bout with the bottle winds up as an aspirational Texan without having a scintilla of the testosterone of the men who made the state. But that’s nothing Heidi Cruz’s childhood sweetheart couldn’t tell you.
Read a little... It wasn’t Cruz.
Tell you what, before my husband passed away, if he didn’t stick up for me, he would have had more than an ‘ashtray’ thrown at him...
Trump didn’t deserve this, and this is Beck, Romney, Cruz and the neo-con bunch attacking Trump...
You don’t want you wife involved ‘Lyin Ted Cruz’ then don’t involve Trump’s wife, you get what you give only with Trump, you won’t walk away from it...
From the Make America Awesome website:
Make America Awesome is a SuperPAC dedicated to blocking and reversing Donald Trumps political ascent. We are an independent group, and are not authorized by any presidential candidate or candidate committee. Our focus is on using unconventional and cost-effective tactics, as opposed to stereotypical high-cost, limited-yield methods with the objective of providing maximum donor.
Exactly! That fact needs to be driven home!
