Meathead Rob Reiner Calls for Filming Boycott in North Carolina Over 'Anti-LGBT' Law

Famed director Rob Reiner said he won't produce movies in North Carolina until it repeals a new law banning cities from enacting their own anti-discrimination protections — legislation widely seen as rolling back LGBT rights.

Reiner, whose long list of movies includes "When Harry Met Sally," "A Few Good Men" and "Stand By Me," joins a growing chorus of entertainment heavyweights who say they bwon't do business in the state while the law is in effect.

"Until this hateful law is repealed and LGBT North Carolinans are treated with the equal dignity they deserve, I will not film another production in North Carolina, and I encourage my colleagues in the entertainment industry to vow to do the same," Reiner said in a statement Friday.

The Republican-led Legislature passed the bill after Charlotte approved anti-discrimination measures that would have allowed transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their gender identity. Gov. Pat McCrory signed the bill into law Wednesday.

A Motion Picture Association of America official on Thursday also said that studios oppose "any law that legitimizes discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression."

An incentive program, which has since been scaled back, has made North Carolina a major film and television production hub.

Maybe NC should ban any productions from Rob Reiner being shown or broadcast there.

I have endured 45 years of these Hollywood meatheads trying to cram their ideology down my piehole.

Stifle it, Reiner.

What anti-LGBT low? Just because NC doesn’t want special laws protecting perversion they are wrong?

It ain’t just the entertainment industry practicing PC coercion. Corporate America is doing the same thing. Knuckle-under or we deprive you of a livelihood.

Isn’t Fascism grand?

If all states passed such a law, would Meathead have to leave the country in order to work?

The only reason Rob Reiner would film a movie in NC would be for the generous tax breaks the State gives to Hollywood.

No loss.

Fewer actors there = higher average IQ in the state.

So what’s the problem?

Isn't this exactly what the black balling of communists in the entertainment industry accomplished in the 50s. Only, when their side does it, they are ok with it.

North Carolina needs to STAY THE COURSE. For the next week, for April, for the Summer...and on and on. The longer they hold the line, the more it will become obvious the Gay Mafia does not have the power attributed to them. NO big business will LEAVE N.C. over allowing cross-dressers and trannies in bathrooms. NONE. And the longer they hold out, the more the spotlight will fade, and business will forget. Where are they going to go? Blue states with bathroom bills like dying Connecticut, with its aging population, feckless minority-run cities and a mass exodus of taxpayers? Let’s encourage Gov. McCrory to do what Mike Pence did not have the balls to do...stand up to the true fascists, and NEVER even blink.
