I am accusing him of lying about it. I never said a word about him responding to it. So not sure where you think the name calling gets you.

I don’t know what world some folks choose to live in, but I don’t know anyone who’s got a few neurons working, who is going to think that a young woman, not related to you, feels perfectly comfortable calling you “Daddy” repeatedly publicly, isn’t going to raise eyebrows. Let alone try to claim that the Mrs. isn’t in the know, if someone is so comfortable using such pet names about her husband in public.

Then add to it the simple Clintonesque non denial denials, its pretty clear that Cruz is not being honest on this topic.

Now, I could care less if he is running around on his wife, and as I said, I don’t for one minute believe Heidi was not fully aware of it, and like most power couples is probably mortified its now no longer a public secret, but hardly unaware. I would assume they have an arrangement, and if anything she’s probably upset his actions have threatened their asperations.

The lies are the non denial denials, and the repeated attempts to blame Trump for something that has been clearly shown to have been out there being shopped by the Rubio camp for months.... Cruz is being dishonest about this and like it or not, its going to hurt him...

Watching politicians tie themselves in knots rather than tell the truth, even if the truth is unpleasant is a huge reason why folks are fed up with the establishment and the status quo. At this point, Cruz just looks like Clinton... and lets not get into how he was completely emasculated by Carly at that press conference earlier today.

Cruz looks bad in all this, and daily he looks worse... I mean seriously, hiding behind Carly’s skirt? Are you kidding me?

“This all should be the new standard. All because we wish to rationalize asking that question to Ted Cruz. “

The hypocrisy is astounding! First we have Cruz supporters acting like THEIR guy has more morals than Trump. Talking about his “principled” Christianity and conservatism and how skanky Trump the guy with affairs is and how they are choosing the BETTER and more MORAL guy in Cruz.

Then when it appears Cruz may have faltered like a mere mortal,,they get mad AT TRUMP while at the same time pretending that a little dalliance or two doesn’t matter all of a sudden.

Thus, the hypocrisy.

Thanks, I wasn’t the snopes searcher. It can be useful I agree but does have an agenda sometimes.

Does anyone think this sort of "issue," is what we need to focus on

Well, Amanda Carpenter agrees with you. She thinks we need to focus on the candidates positions.

I think she and Ted have worked late at night on his positions.

IF it were just Trump denying the story, you could play the he said he said game... unfortunately The Enquirer has stated Trump had nothing to do with the story and multiple multiple folks have come forward stating that Rubio folks had been shopping that story for months...

Cruz knows this, and his repeated lies trying to blame it on Trump, while offering a non denial denial, just make him stink even more.

There are plenty of things you can attack Trump over, but this one, sure as hell doesn’t look like he had anything to do with. This is old school party politics going on with this, not Trump’s brand of breaking the mold and in your face... If Trump were going to throw affairs out there, he’d just do it directly, he wouldn’t have to have the enquirer publish it.

That doesn’t add up Responsibility2nd...it is already common knowledge that a Rubio ally was shopping the sex scandal story to news outlets...

Sure. And it was a Trump ally - David Pecker - owner of the Nat Enq who bought it and got the OK from Donald to run with it.

An attempt at humor, but you should save it for the bar or barber shop, where it might be almost--but really never quite--appropriate.

What you are doing is diverting attention from real issues, in a very vital campaign, to gossip. I grant that in a free society, people have a legal right to gossip. I will not grant that spreading malicious gossip is any sort of moral high ground. It has never been understood as such by serious philosophers or theologians, so far as I know. But it is your legal right up to a point, where one of the young women sues you. (Of course the candidate for office really cannot because of rulings by the Warren Court, that leaves public figures without the rights of other people, on this point.

I think God is great enough to see into hearts and doesn’t need to hear a formula repeated out loud. But that’s me.

It'd need not be formulaic, but the recognition that one is a sinner in need of a savior; however you phrase it, is the central issue of the faith. It is the most vital decision any man can make.

I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Romans 10:10-13 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

The tabloid didn’t write those public Tweets, Amanda did. Trying to argue that it’s just the enquirer ignores that little fact.... If course it also ignores the fact that th Enquirer has a track record of being correct on political infidelity stories that main stream like to sweep under the rug because they don’t want to risk their access to candidates by reporting things they know to be true.

If you and your wife are okay with younger coworkers Who aren’t your daughters calling you Daddy in public, more power to you.

Sexual Behavior and Security Clearances Of the approximately 1160 cases decided by administrative judges at Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA) in 2009 only 36 cited “Sexual Behavior” as a security/suitability issue. Almost all of these 36 cases involved criminal conduct, and about half involved criminal convictions for sexual offenses. Only 2 cases cited extramarital affairs, and both of these cases involved current sexual relationships about which their spouses were unaware. Involvement with prostitutes was cited in 4 cases, 5 cases cited possession of child pornography, and 15 cases cited sexual acts with children. The remaining cases involved voyeurism, exhibitionism, and compulsive, self-destructive viewing of pornography.

Eight-nine percent of the cases citing sexual behavior resulted in clearance denials. Many of these issues did not surface during standard investigations for security clearances, but surfaced during polygraph examinations required as part of the processing for access eligibility for Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI).

Guideline D: Sexual Behavior of the December 2009 Adjudicative Guidelines for Determining Eligibility for Access to Classified Information states:

BTW, your cut-and-paste "isn't as clever as you think".

If you had bothered to read it and understand the data, you would have seen that it doesn't prove your point. It cited 36 cases of Sexual Behavior. 34 of those cases involved sexual crimes. Two of those cases involved non criminal sexual affairs. That's about 5% of the cases. Your article says that 11% of the cases did not result in clearance denials. So without a further break down of the data, we can't know, if those 5% of the cases, the affairs, were in the group of 11% that weren't denied security clearances. And it's likely that they were.

Your point is a non-point and expressed in a vulgar gotcha manner to boot. The real point is that A. Cruz has been accused, if its false fine; he needs to get in front of it which he hasn’t done. Your point is a non-point and expressed in a vulgar gotcha manner to boot.

No, your point is "vulgar gotcha". Cruz DID deny the charge. You keep saying that he didn't. That's a "gotcha".

Beyond that you avoided answering by question about all 17 candidates, and should they be asked that question.

You should answer it, else using your word, you are being "disingenuous".

I swear I just cannot believe what this website has turned into. I used to come to this site because I thought most people here shared my philosophy and beliefs. I find that certain people I used to follow and agree with have changed into something I do not recognize. A lot of you have become very nasty and vindictive for no apparent reason. Sorry to see it happen to this site.

"A Cruz supporter?"

See for yourself. Or put another way, have you written any piece stronger for Donald Trump than mine?

Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.

I do not have the time right now to explain how much damage these attempts to smear candidates by violating their personal privacy, actually does--not to the one being smeared, but to those who think they will benefit from the smear; but the net effect should be obvious. While many gossipers give lip service to sanctimony, very few really are innocent stone throwers in the Biblical sense. And many, many who witness the gossipers antics, react very negatively when they get a chance to vote on the subject.

I have witnessed the phenomena involved in over sixty years as an acute student of politics.

Don't post that to me. I don't believe either.
