Private gun ownership was banned in Venezuela in June 2012, but their homicide rate went from 73 per 100,000 people in 2012 to 82 per 100,000 people in 2015. The BBC seriously repeats the Venezuelan government’s claim that the ban is an “attempt by the government to improve security and cut crime.” The ban was preceded by an amnesty to get people to turn in their guns. The video gives some idea of what life is like in Venezuela these days.
As the homicide rate was already rising before the gun ban and Venezuela is such a mess of a country, this increase in homicides is less dramatic than for the UK, Ireland or Jamaica, but yet again it is still evidence that the homicide rates were at least not favorably affected by gun ban.

My wife has a friend who married a wealthy Venezuelan in the 90s. He transferred all his wealth out of the country when he saw the country going socialist.
That’s unexpected. Who would have guessed that disarming law-abiding citizens would lead to more of them being killed by criminals who don’t obey gun laws?
Remove murders committed by blacks and Hispanics and the crime rate in the US drops MUCH more.

YES but not Anarcho-Tyranny. More like Marxist-Tyranny using Marx’s/Lenin’s “Lumpenproletariat” to control the “Haves”.
The LPs were the “Have Nots” of Russian society including the criminal element. They were viewed as having no real stake in the existing society so they would make good “spearheads” in any communist revolution.
Lenin and his CHEKA was made up of many criminals released from the Czar’s prisons and well as former Czarist secret police. Stalin continued with this policy and used criminals in prisons to control political prisoners and religious prisoners (my friend spent 10 years in Lubianka Prison and then the Gulags along the Trans-Siberian Railway line out to Lake Baikal.
THe Nazis also used criminals in both the Gestapo and in slave labor and concentration camps to control, again, religious and political prisoners. They were just as cruel as the SS soldiers and Gestapo.
W.E.B. Du Bois, before (1930s) he became a Communist himself (1940’s or early 50’s), warned the American Negro not to become “cannonfodder” for the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). He felt that the reds only wanted to use black bodies as frontline, expendable shock troops in the coming revolution.
The Marxist/criminal Black Panther Party was built on the “criminal as revolutionary” concept. I once checked the backgrounds of BPP members arrested in DC and Maryland (in regards to the murder of Baltimore Police Office Sager, killed in a BPP ambush, possibly by BBP leader Donald Cox). Most of them were either unemployed or only partially employed. A few had full time but not high economic level jobs.
They were the true “lumpenproletariat” of the black/Marxist revolution.
The Anarcho-Tyranny of today is composed of both the Black Bloc (Anarchists) and the Red Bloc (Marxist-Anarchists, somewhat contradictory but they aim to destroy society using anarchist warfare but within a future Marxist program to power).
Most are losers, psychopaths and drug users. But they are very dangerous and have been very successful in their street warfare against businesses because the police will not take them down in any serious manner.
