An interviewer asked Clapton once, "How does it feel to be the greatest guitar player in the world?"
"I don't know," Clapton replied, "Ask Prince."
and then Prince said “ the greatest guitarist ever died in a plane crash on March 19th 1982..Randy Rhoads”
