Nope. It’s NOT the point. Free Republic stands for the United States itself being a free republic, and is no way statement of purpose for this website. Furthermore, your question proves you’re a sleeper troll, because if you had actually been posting for eight years (or even a couple of months for that matter), you would know all of that.
And no, you are no longer free to attack the “always Trump crowd” or Trump himself. The owner of this website has made it QUITE CLEAR that the time for debate about this particular issue is past, and that this site is now dedicated to beating Hillary Clinton, which means that this site has now rallied behind the GOP presumptive nominee, Donald J. Trump.
Free Republic is private property owned exclusively by Jim Robinson. Part of his statement of purpose for his website reads as follows:
“Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is not a liberal debating society.”
There are many other websites that you can attack Trump on, including Democrat Underground, DailyKos, RedState, NRO, Theblaze, etc. You will be quite welcome on those websites. You are NOT welcome to attack our candidate or his supporters on Free Republic.
