In all of Marx’s voluminous writings (including private letters to family members), there is no hint of any self-awareness as a Jew.

His views on Jews and Judaism were exactly what one might expect from someone with a secularized Christian education of the time.

Marx actually began studying for the ministry but was persuaded by Bruno Bauer’s deconstruction of the New Testament.

In the closing days of the Soviet Union (actually the 1970s), Karl Marx's comments on the Jews; the "Russian Loan"; etc., were widely distributed. The Soviet Commies didn't tell their suffering masses that Karl Marx was of strong Jewish descent.
