A liberal, overpaid, has been sports journalist pontificating on the future of the Republican party. Because he is given this platform, he deludes himself to believe his opinion matters.

What these dumb asses don't realize is that they are smearing millions and millions of people, I hope they keep it up and that Donald points this out over and over in the coming months.

Yes I am afraid that Trump will become another Ryan or McConnell. He has a history of dining and donating to Clinton and golfing with Boehner.

Ryan and McConnell are the faces of the GOPe, not conservatives.

Seems like they musta been taking lessons from the (p)resident on how to unite folks in a common cause.

It’s TOTALLY good. Because when he gets the nom he can start clearing out the deadwood. The trouble the GOPe had was they still had lots of money but the didn’t have any voters left. So the party has to change. Some of the donors may find their natural home is with the rats. So be it. No loss. The Republican party will probably survive, but it will be a new party. And then, hopefully, it will be game on with the globalists rather than the fabian globullism they’ve been insinuating into our country thus far.

Lupica, you are exactly correct.

Donald Trump's victory in Indiana is the final KO for the ESTABLISHMENT Republican Party

“Trump will either win and do what he says and make America great again, or he will lose and take the Republican GOPe party with him.”

You forgot the third and fourth options: Win and then do mostly the opposite of what he campaigned on, or worse yet do something outright disastrous.

Those are legitimate concerns for those not under “the Donald’s” spell...

He’s still a better gamble than the Dem candidate, but he is most certainly a gamble.

If Trump is the candidate, she will win.

Trump IS the candidate.

She won't win.

The GOPe ruling class who only cares what happens in DC needs to go.

Trump has my support. Besides after holding my nose for McCain and Romney voting for Trump will be a pleasure.

I agree, and I'll cast my vote for Trump with confidence and pride. I haven't felt this optimistic since Reagan.

Now go cry in your safe space with the rest of the”scared, worried, concerned” crowd you big wussy.
ESPN will make sure you don’t have to listen to any nasty Republicans.

He would be right if the GOPe were STOOOOOPID enough to try and cheat him at a contested convention. But it sounds like in typical GOP fashion they have run up the white flag before the fight ever got started.

They are shooting themselves in the foot.

But in their minds, it’s more about spiting all the people who dared to vote in the ‘abomination to conservatism’ that is Trump. They genuinely believe they’re going to teach all the hoi polloi a lesson, to never do that again and mind their betters next time.

And if nothing else they can just sit back and say ‘muh principles!’ as if that justifies anything.

So true. We’re better off if we can purge the party of the DC establishment.

Or he will win and revert to his NY liberal roots and adopt a “go along to get along” philosophy
__________________________________________

The difference is that Trump doesn’t need anything from them. He can get along just fine on his own.

And he’ll have no issue calling out and humiliating those standing in the way of fixing our country.

The presidency often goes not to the one most qualified but the one with big enough and brassy enough cojones to step up and TAKE IT. That’s the way it is. Bush II did it. Obama did it. Trump’s doing it.

“If only we could have had Ted to really work with congress and get these things done”

But you don’t, and Ted working with Congress would be a oxymoron. He’s never worked with anyone in his life. You Cruzers need to close up shop, your ship sailed last night without you!
